If Egan is fit, he plays. The only debate is whether he should switch roles with Anel, but I don't see that happening just yet. As much as I love Bash, he isn't a starter for us anymore and it seems like Hecky doesn't think Trusty is ready at the moment.

Try to dominate the midfield and hope Archer, Hamer and McAtee have enough guile to play around their CBs. All 3 of those know how to hit the target too, so shoot on sight and try to keep them on edge.

If we are chasing a result at 70 mins, stick Traore on as another attacker and sub Norwood. If on the other hand we do happen to be holding onto something, put Hamer into a more defensive role and play one AM off any striker who is still able to run about.

And there endeth my Fifa masterclass.
 

Howe won’t manage them next season. The Brighton manager is their next conquest. I feel if they lose to us, he has 2 more games before De Zerbi gets poached for life changing millions.

Think Hecky could tactically outsmart Howe, so let’s see what happens.
 
Optimistic about today but worry about us defending set pieces. Trippier is a dead ball specialist and without Oli Mac it’ll be hard to keep out Schar, Botman, Burn and Isak.

They are a better side than us and all things being equal they win
To support a team but confidently predict a battering by your opponents is just weird
 
It's interesting how the ticket sales site shows the lowest ticket sales of the season.
Looks to be many 100's of empty season on the Kop and even some blank areas on the BLUT.

It's gauranteed to be our lowest crowd of the season, should just about break 30K.

Live on sky ,daft kick off time and 40/50 quid a pop ,30k is a good turn out ,poor by the club though making it a top priced game .

On tv , Sunday afternoon , not a great deal of optimism, pies aren’t as good as last year and last years pies were shite .

It’s raining ,even though it’s predicted to be brightening up later , it will still be raining .

We’ve sold IN and Sander and we once sold Jones and Deane on the same day . The prince isn’t really a prince 👑 as he hasn’t got a gold horse drawn coach .

Everybody who does go will pull their hamstrings celebrating a goal that will be wiped out by VAR and have to miss work .

Even the pigeons can’t be bothered cos Tim Sherwood has caught them in a sack and is turning them into cockerels 🐔

Is there any wonder it’s going to be our lowest crowd 🤨

Agreed, massive if we can win and it would maybe give us belief we can kick on and get a few results. Take us out of the bottom three while also keep us in the pack in the bottom half, they are all big games but this one is massive mentally for the players imo.
 
Stating the obvious, we'll miss McB but hey ho, we get on with the game at hand.

Newcastle are a transformative club, but there's no doubt they are better under Howe's direction and the moneybags who now owns the club. We need to be at it from second one, no easing into this game, let them know that everything will be contested. Should be an interesting indicator as to what's possible for the Blades.

Naturally I want the Blades to win, three points would be invaluable and give everyone a huge confidence boost........c'mon you red and white wizzzzards!!!

It will be tight and they are the favourites but thats not really my point
If football or supporting a football team made me as negative as some of these fannys i would walk away from it
I could understand it if the club was underachieving but we are actually doing quite well considering our budget with respect to the top fourty clubs in the land
Cant be that hard to find something that makes you proud to be a blade otherwise whats the point ?

Going today, anyone know if I go up eyre st to Arundel roundabout, can I turn left(furnival gate) then through into charter row, or up moore st then right onto charter row?, fed up of parking fines!
