What the fuck do they do in training all week?? Every video you see, all they’re doing is strength work, never see them doing ball work. I’ve been watching them 45 years and this by far the most slowest, unfit and mentally soft United side I’ve ever seen. If they’ve got anything and I mean ANYTHING about them they’ll give their wages to charity this week but I’m not holding my breath.

This is the worst kind of history making.

Shocking team performance, so little skills, horrendous tactics, lack of quality all over the field, inability to make a pass... keep going on and on and on and on...

I don't want to call for a managers head because with this squad, nothing can be changed, but the quality is so lacking in all areas... it brings to the forefront that we made lots of purchases but it is obvious these were made without skill assessment at the highest level.

And to add to the dross, experienced players show should stand tall went missing and hung their heads.

We've been saying things all season, but this is a juncture in the road. There is NO WAY of coming back from this but I honestly don't know what to change.. the damage has been done and its not repairable.

I feel the most deflated since I started watching the beam at 4 years of age and I am 70 now... this is history making of the worst kind.

Since a defensive coach was appointed our defence has gone missing, at least last season we could defend our box. Whats all this backing off and not tackling untill they get into box.

He clearly can’t do it, at one point when they were walking through at will with more holes in our team than my string vest he was sat in the dugout sulking, he doesn’t know what to do tactically when things are not going well.

A very hard watch tonight. Away in Greece so not all bad but 1 blade with 20 Geordies lapping it up you can imagine my evening!
Agree with comments on first 3 goals referee frankly gave them all 3. 2 handballs and Robbo's should not have warranted a free kick.
Go in at HT 0 0 and it's a very different game. At 3 0 Barcodes are brimming with confidence and we're chasing shadows..
9 conceded from crosses does show how poor we are aerially at the back. We do ok with McB backing up defence at set pieces but without that we're not getting near the ball and giving free headers to quality strikers and big defenders.
Wtf is Trusty doing? Why's he not getting games or minutes?
I'd drop captain Egan and make him earn his place back. Defence organisation is his job, but he pisses off for a jolly with Ireland when completely injured rather that getting fit for the cause..

Who's going to buy Anel based on his performances so far this season. We've no chance of losing him as no one will want him. He certified won't be fulfilling his dream of playing for Man City any time soon.

That will have influenced the decision to go to a back 4

Egan and Robinson are a horrible pair to play in a 4. Especially against someone like Newcastle. But it'll be used as resounding evidence that we must never play with a 4 under any circumstances

The biggest problem defensively is Egan. Anel needs to move central, and we need someone new at RCB

It's also a problem that Trusty clearly isn't good enough because Robinson is absolutely at his limit at this level too

That was hard to watch..I thought we started quite well,but once the first goal went in it was littered with mistakes...I lost count of the amount of times we didn't put enough weight on passes,gave it away in the midfield,and it looked like every attack they would score,our defending was terrible.
Got to brush it off and go again,but no easy games.
Big job for Hecky to turn things around,and it's such a big step up now the prem..big gulf in class,so easy for Newcastle today.
