The 4 at the back does suit McCallum better, I think we need some more rewind 10 years athleticism within the squad to have some other formations, problem with a 3-4-3 is who do we have as the other 2 in the 3 as it were, as we tried that with sticking Cannon on the left and failed miserably. I think the 5-3-2 could work though.I hate 442, think we’re crying out for a 532 or a 343
Can tell I’m not at work today lol. I wouldn’t mind us setting up like this with the squad we’ve got. I don’t rate any of our wingers and I hate when we get outplayed in midfield. McCallum can obviously come in for Burrows but I think having 5 atb would help Burrows look like the player he used to be imo.The 4 at the back does suit McCallum better, I think we need some more rewind 10 years athleticism within the squad to have some other formations, problem with a 3-4-3 is who do we have as the other 2 in the 3 as it were, as we tried that with sticking Cannon on the left and failed miserably. Didn't he score a great goal against Scotland. Before we signed him he always stood out when I saw him. Hopefully that guy has turned upI doubt Chong's scored, that must mean he's had a shot
Wasn't one injured/ill the other week?Zatterstrom and One not getting many pre season minutes
I get if Wilder just didn't fancy him last season when he came in, but surely he's worth a bit of a closer look in pre season? He comes with a decent pedigree, and whilst I'm happy to be surprised by Baptiste (look at Seriki who similarly was in a struggling Rotherham side), I hold out hope Zatterstrom could still be a good player at this level.Wasn't one injured/ill the other week?
Zatterstrom is behind an academy graduate who was part of a poor Rotherham side that went down to league two..
Huddersfield played an Academy side 2nd half. Most of there first team (May, Fletcher, Wallace, Taylor etc) are at Fleetwood so even the first half was only a few senior players. It was very much a 2nd string Hudds team.Is it a coincidence that we've scored 3 after the introduction of Reidewald?
That explains it then. Mind you, we've struggled against worse.Huddersfield played an Academy side 2nd half. Most of there first team (May, Fletcher, Wallace, Taylor etc) are at Fleetwood so even the first half was only a few senior players. It was very much a 2nd string Hudds team.
Trying to get rid of sideways passing, new rule can't pass the ball or run through the linesWhat are those markings on the pitch?!
Wouldn't mind that. But for 3 at the back we'd need centre backs that are good on the ball, not McGuinness types. Can tell I’m not at work today lol. *haven’t seen enough of Donovan but realistically we need 2 on each side for the full season
Ancient Bronze Age markings indicating a time when Wednesday were last relevant. What are those markings on the pitch?!
Baptiste isn't really a academy graduate ,we brought him in at 21 ,always impressed by him he's big strong quick and can play a bit ,not really fair to label him with 10 others at rothersWasn't one injured/ill the other week?

Well, that big rectangle thingy is called the penalty area, sometimes referred to as the penalty box.
Within that is a smaller rectangular thingy called the 6 yard box.
I think I'm right in saying we're not allowed in the rectangular thingies with the ball very often.
I saw him in a u21 game last August and he looked like he could work the doors in any lively city centre pub bit of a unit compared to the others who are yet to fill out. Still would call anyone who is a u21 player academy myself.Baptiste isn't really a academy graduate ,we brought him in at 21 ,always impressed by him he's big strong quick and can play a bit ,not really fair to label him with 10 others at rothers

Completely agree, I think it would be easier to get 2 good centre backs than 2 wingers especially on our budgetWouldn't mind that. But for 3 at the back we'd need centre backs that are good on the ball, not McGuinness types.
