Sheffield United boss Paul Heckingbottom confirms Oli McBurnie and Anel Ahmedhodzic are both available to start v Bournemouth.Souza is fine and Bogle is still carrying a minor injury, but it’s not serious. No one else is off the treatment table yet.

Good news!
Good to have Ahmedhodzic back if his recuperation has also resulted in him refinding his mojo. Now, if Hecky has the stones we can play a slightly more suitable lineup.

Foderingham
Baldock (c) - Ahmedhodzic - Trusty - Robinson
McAtee - Souza - Hamer - Larouci
McBurnie
Archer
If we're desperate to play 5 at the back then put Thomas in for Larouci and shuffle the midfield across. That's tantamount to getting the white flag ready as far as I'm concerned.

Hoping Hecky will stick with the team that has been grinding out results and any returning players get their chance from the bench. I'm also sticking with my predicting style that has accompanied our upturn in form and thus:
Not really sure why people are expecting us to get anything from Wolves, granted they don't seem to be able to finish but they'll get 2 against us I'm sure and other than that they have been enormously unlucky. Ragged Liverpool for half a game and only lost to Man U due to the incompetence of officials. As ever I hope I'm wrong for United's sake.

I'm sticking with the approach that worked well for us last weekend:
If it was a team named almost anything but 'Brighton' we would be writing this off as another free hit and we've got nothing from 'free hits' so far this season, we'll get nothing again.
I'll avoid the obvious comparison between Bournemouth and United's results versus Newcastle...too late, Hecky's gonna need his tactics upgrading to at least Windows 98 to give us a chance here.

Can we afford to play both Archer and Mcb...not so sure tbh.

Anel is a flip of a coin whether he comes straight back in or not.

I'd be inclined to leave the team as it was and continue to build on that slight momentum.

Our league record against Bournemouth is very good: W10 D6 L2.

The only defeats were in our last game down there. where neither of their goals would have stood with VAR, and at the Lane on the first day of 1987-8. That was Bournemouth’s first ever game in the second tier, and they won 1-0 with a late goal by Shaun Brooks. Andy Leaning saved a pen on his league debut for us.

Brooks with a late winner for Bournemouth you say... 🙈

Will be a tight game, one goal either way could be enough, hopefully we can hang on when we've scored it!🤞

Or you could look at our results against Newcastle as an indication of who'll be favourites today.

They are a very good side. We need the Lane rocking today, a win would be fantastic.
