Len De Goey (worst ever impression of a winger, from someone dumped on us as the 'new Woody')

Steve Fineston (Hours spent on treatment table*)

* Close run thing with Alan Young.
John Ebrell wild card disqualified as he never completed a game

Brian Deane (most proper first original 'Deano' factor *).

*Top Trumps Trivia - this factor is not commonly used , except by boring old farts who will shortly go to bed....

How many cards in a pack, is it 32? Who would make the Blades Top Trumps?

Edit: maybe just limit it to the last 10 years to give everybody a chance of a reasoned input (as opposed to 'I heard Currie was the greatest' etc)

Tha heard reight.

Brian Deane.

He was an outstanding striker and unfortunately played at a time when the English national team had loads of strikers to choose from

If he were playing now he’d have at least 20-30 England caps.

A real talent, my hero growing up and I class myself as immensely lucky to have seen him pull on the famous red and white stripes.

'Young' Harry Johnson is our all time leading goalscorer. I think Alan Woodward is top post-war.

At a guess, Jimmy Dunne has the most goals in a top flight season (around 40).

Harry Johnson has the unusual (unique?) Distinction of being top scorer all time for two clubs, us and Mansfield.

It is of course not unique - Alan Shearer is all time top goalscorer for both Blackburn and Newcastle.

They might be the only two players to do it in English football though.
