Yep - also meant we had the option to get a quick loan in place if Sander had gone, always easier to rush a loan over a purchase.

What I find enlightening is that we have a good squad without the vets. You need some vets of course, but looking to the future If we can hold on to our younguns the future looks bright for red and white. See what I did there?

I’d renew them all other than O’Connell (unless he returns this season) & Osborn (need a better version of him)

These are the players who will be under contract, as things stand:

Brewster
Ndiaye

The ones in bold will be starting their last season under their current contracts. The better players, you'd assume, we'd want to try and tie down. Whether they'd want to stay, is debatable.

There are a lot of players who we need to either extend contracts or bring in. We need to sort this during the World Cup break.
