Jeez, it's confusing these days with all these different bloody companies!

Why can't they just consolidate it all together so's we've got just the one thing to moan about re: finances. They're just making it exhausting.
that's the idea

McCabe likes Done because he's taking all the stick and taking the pressure off. Kev pleaded with Monty not to go to Australia.

You are absolutely right. By chance I was present when the conversation took place and took a snap:

Hmm. We have a myriad of conflicting, confusing viewpoints, speculative suppositions, some hilarious (eg not) snide remarks and people talking about the pitch.

Here's a few questions:

1. How much do we make through the turnstiles every other week, including already bought season tickets? Last year? This year, so far?
2. With the amount of real debt attached to the club (and it's a liability) where is the proven earned value from £1.2m in the Desso pitch?
3. How many games did we miss, and therefore lose £'x'm in revenue, or games did we lose/players did we injure for the decision to be made (by board or by McCabe) to install £1.2m of Desso pitch? Supplementary question: How much has it saved this season? (please don't cite our current league position, because last season we were bumsmell on ciabatta a la arabiata week on week on the Desso.)
4. With the above in mind, what's the story with flogging good players to ostensibly service a worsening debt situation, then spunk £1.2m on the pitch?

Really sorry to fucking go on about this fellers, but in and amongst al the horseshit further above (which is shiny coin bollocks to a man) none of the real answers to my questions emerge.

And no. I haven't been to a match this season. Sorry and all that.

Oh. Anyone seen our overseas bloke at all?

Evening Pommps! :D

McCabe comes to the matches more than you so he is definitely a bigger blade and not always overseas.

Oh......did you mean the other bloke? :D

Don't think its "people" just me joking about the Desso. Hope I haven't ruined your routine. Actually scrolling down I can see I havent.

I have no idea why you are asking questions about turnover, players and whatever because my posts clearly state it's not the football accounts but the old Plc which only collects the rent. Forgive me if I think you've read next to nothing of the thread but simply put your hair shirt on and set off as usual.

Any speculation is a result of answering a sensible question relating to ongoing losses and based on past results and McCabes statements earlier this year. The rest im afraid are facts, not important during rants generally I know, but I find them comforting.

Anyway to reiterate I don't see how you can expect answers from a thread which isn't even about your chosen subject. Not time wasted though, just copy and paste when Blades Leisures figures come out.

As for the "overseas" bloke, you really are out of the loop these days.

Hardly. It's usually you who brings it up, yet fails to answer the questions about it. I note you still don't have answers. As before.

Oh. Has he gone, then? That was quiet. We had all the lauding and trumpeting of his appointment, and when questions were asked why, some people were shouted down. But never mind. I expect we will find some line in the accounts which gives absolute detail on his value to the club.

I'll say it again. The thread is clearly about SU Ltd not SUFC Ltd. Until you grasp that fact you won't comprehend why no one would even attempt to answer questions on something that's not been published yet. Now that would be stupid.

I can - and if you'd bothered to read it - and have talked about income and to some extent expenditure as to why it's made another big loss. In fact you could have looked at the accounts themselves and asked pertinent - I know, but stick with me - questions, rather than the nonsense you've come up with about a totallyvdifferent entity altogether. But if you need to ignore the fact you've got the whole point completely wrong, that's your prerogative.

Gone? Who's gone? You're at it again, but if you don't know, you don't know.

Just seen your edit. There's clearly no if. You don't know.

Tell you what though, if you give me the formula for calculating the value of a Desso pitch against some unnamed fantasy player whose position and abilities we don't know I'll take a stab at it because somewhere ive got one of those scientific calculators although I'm not sure it does time travel as the Desso is in a different accounts year (as well as not being in the accounts actually under discussion) .

Or you could do it?

I might have got the wrong end of the stick here but is one of you talking about 'Jim' and the other referring to the 'Prince' when you talk about the 'overseas' bloke?

By all accounts, (wrong term of phrase there) but there seems to be a break down in communication.

I'm talking about neither. Depends what planet the other blokes on as to who he means.

What about the Turkish dude? :)

What part of

a. Sell a player like Murphy (i.e. not a fantasy player)
b. Buy a Desso pitch

Don't you understand?

Okay, I'll make it clear (and I don't need the tiresome chicanery of the submitted accounts for this) one made and scored goals and was possibly the best player we had at the time and the other was provenly not needed and had (and has) no discernible gained value for the football club.

Keep up with your violin stuff about McCabe though. Lets just hope and pray Duffy isn't suddenly shipped out mid January, eh?

You'll be going on ignore soon. He does that when he angrily finds out he can't counter any of your points.

its all part of the tax avoidance dance
this is my understanding of it all too. Why would an accountant shout you down? Because it's their job to let the company they work for pay as little in tax as possible, as long as it's within the letter of the tax rules.
If it was easy nobody would need accountants. If there were not these loopholes to exploit, nobody would need accountants. Why don't they change it? Because too many wealthy politicians use these rules to save money.

the thread was nothing to do with any of that but was about the rent. You either didn't read it or simply went on one when you saw the word accounts and made yourself look silly. not for the first time.

Maybe the players and manager should be the ones you ask about the pitches value ? You know, professionals.

Duffys going is he? Okay.

I'll have a stab at making it clearer (I hope!).
Sean, do any of: The Prince, Phipps or ' the Turkish bloke' have anything to do with Sheffield United LIMITED - or is it just the 3 McCabes and a Tutton?

Feller, you mentioned the Desso in #4 and #40. Now when I ask (the same) questions of something you clearly have no intent on supplying an answer for (because you seem strangely loyal to McCabe for reasons unknown) you now start trying to make me appear silly because you read and buy the bullshit (which I think many haven't) and still, despite your global assumed cleverness, can't tell me why we sell players and buy a fucking pitch (which you brought into the conversation to make whatever point you have failed to make)

As ever, maybe you are the tyranny of evil men and I am the shepherd, or whatever the fuck the quote is meant to be. Either end up, try not to be too clever that the point you are making is easily turned on you. We sell good players and buy pitches for no gain. Justify that and you are indeed an idiot.

The Prince and his associates have nothing to do with SU Ltd.

Back with the same old bollocks, eh?

Good footballers play better on a good pitch (it is very good).

I wish, in some parallel universe, you could take over at The Lane. Your introduction to the real world of football financial administration would last about two hours before the administrators came in, shortly followed by the men in white coats, carrying you away as you babble incoherently about the freehold on Mick Jones and a sofa in Brussels.

Your problem is you have a huge single-issue obsession but haven't a fucking clue what you're talking about.

Yes. I saw it last year. It is good. Shame the players could play good on it the previous season. Does that sort out your x + y = 0 bullshit?

No, son. Your obsession is me. My obsession is getting some sort of reason out of how McCabe runs the club. You can't provide anything except bile, anger and vitriol. The last refuge of a dullard. As said, you are famed for it.

Copthorne.....a commercial venture. Did you have hissy girly fit about the money not being spent on making The Blades into a European superpower?

The Desso will pay for itself pommmmmmpey in four to five years because the maintenance costs per hour of use are halved. It's a commercial decision. Why do you think that it comes out of the "transfer money" pot?

Then again, forget the financial aspects, maybe you would prefer bog-snorkeling at the Basesball Ground in the 70's that called itself football.

Course it will love. You have the maintenance costs to hand and the projected maintenance costs to show for this, of course. Its what they call, an 'investment'. So was the sale of Murphy. Wasn't it?

Then again, forget the financial aspects, maybe you would prefer bog-snorkeling at the Basesball Ground in the 70's that called itself football.

Is that what Bramall Lane looked like? Like the Baseball Ground?

It didn't, did it?

bit rich to accuse me of "chicanery" what a delightful drama filled word btw, when my OP was about the rent. I made that clear enough for anyone to see and yes, I mentioned the Desso but not, Murphy or other historical player sales. That was you, despite the fact both were months ago. I can only guess that there's little to moan about at the moment so you have to dwell in the past and, for good measure, suggest Duffy might go.

Then there's your decision that my comment meant the Prince has gone, believing, absurdly that it had happened "quietly" and the whole forum had somehow missed it, to such an extent that you were imagining lines in the accounts about some perceived value. That's not even wishful thinking, it's pure fantasy, mainly because he's still in situ and your in some arse/elbow continuum.

As I said, you're out of the loop, have been for some time which is why you are probably fixated on the recent past.

Where have I ever sought to justify the selling of players and buy pitches " for no gain" ( for someone so disparaging about facts and professional opinion you don't half use some middle management cliche bollocks). Facts eh? And then you quote the Bible. Or was it Pulp Fiction, in an attempt to appear to be what you slate me for.

Yes. Silly.

Shall we compare qualifications, experience and IQ, sailor? Or is your frustrated intellectual inferiority assuaged by the supposedly dismissive "son"? If so, I am content.

He has only one point. One obsessive, malicious, ill-informed, rumour-fuelled, entirely lacking in substance, common-sense offending, tiresome, turgid, monotonous, point.

Whereas you are the voice of reason whenever you stab your blunt thumbs into your keyboard in your latest orgasm of pulsing hatred and loathing. You're really quite unhinged and possibly need help, son.
