PRAISE DE LAWD! It's like listening to born again Christians on here.
Hmmm. Let's have a look ...
here's a straight answer - you might think you know a lot about the game of football, but you don't seem to know anything about running a pro football club.
All the things you constantly moan about are being done in boardrooms and managers offices up and down the country.
In some cases it works, in others it doesn't.
No one really knows in advance whether they will succeed or not, but all start with high hopes that THIS TIME they'll crack it.
It's what makes football a joy or a misery.
If you can take that on board you might be able to support the Blades again.
Not stingy. Inept, maybe. And he became a director out of ambition and goodwill for a team he supports.
No one, not even me, has suggested that. I don't think he is ripping the club off, and I don't think he ever will. I think he has presided over nearly ten years of decline largely (though not entirely) through his incompetence.
Is that what you gauge as 'being a good businessman'? Doing shit 'cobbled up' supposed project management tasks for the BBC?
No. I'd say this season is down to Wilder and certain signings he has brought in, coupled with a strengthening of the central back four. We don't ship goals as much as we used to. And if I look at the results and read match write ups, I don't need to live in Sheffield and attend matches to make judgement on this. The pitch is window dressing. With the right players and the right attitude, w can be a formidable side on any surface. We have won away this season on non-Desso pitches, so your argument fails right there.
So, with your measure, and the pitch and the players, why were we not 3-0 up against Swindon at half time? Why did we ship a worryingly soft goal against Shrewsbury and why did we labour to win against Bury, and fail against Walsall? All on the beloved Desso pitch.
Don't bother answering. I am used to people not giving straight responses on here and retorting to ad hominem.
