How many “League Champions” trophies have the Blades won in your lifetime?

Two for me (1981/82 and 2016/17) and I suspect only one for many people on this forum.

Anyone remember us winning the “Second Division” title in 1952-53?

Could this be the season that we win the biggest trophy most of us will ever see us winning?

I think we have a decent chance. Again, the best chance we’ve had in my lifetime

Sandwiched in between those titles I can add the Yorkshire and Humberside Cup.
It's been a lean time trophywise while I've watched Utd so I absolutely do always count this one when anybody asks.

Same for me, though I only remember 16/17

I was overseas at the time so I always wince a bit when blades say “top 2 is all that matter”. I don’t disagree, I just really want to be at that town hall event

I’ve just been fact checking myself and my final comment about it being the best chance in my lifetime.

It always felt to me that Reading, Burnley and Norwich were going to finish above us in those 2nd tier promotion seasons.

I had forgotten that Leeds only finished above us on goal difference in 1989-90, so that was maybe the best chance we have ever had in my lifetime (so far)

Leicester finished 3 points above us in 1970-71 but I’m way too young to remember that 😉

That's right and also.we should have been more ruthless in 88/89 we lost 6 from 8 against 4 relegated teams.

89/90 we also threw stupid points away, worst probably been Barnsley at home.
