Evening game I was playing championship manager 93 with my mate at the time smashed them couldn’t believe it then still can’t now

I was a wee 16 year old who thought we were about to cement ourselves as a premier league force for the rest of my life. Too young to acknowledge the cycle of life for a blades fan!

I was in my 20s and I thought we’d kick on from there. Fucking idiot.

At the time, I had a mate who was originally from Hackney and a Spurs fan. He was on his arse at the time so me and another mate thought it would be nice to get him a ticket for the game. We thought we were doing him a favour.

I moved house this summer in Horsham and one of the removal guys was a Spurs fan. He couldn’t help but notice I was a Blade and said he had been to the Lane once - this game. I told him I remembered it well
