COH stands for Cunt of

Which makes the shite we signed after selling Anel & Souza in Summer even more more inexcusable.

The main reason I dont want a merger is that sometimes we can have a fairly shite season but a least hammer the pigs once or twice to cheer ourselves up a bit and collect some much needed points (Like this season). Losing that "silver lining" 🤭 would be a tragedy.
Let's be honest though
youre not exactly a glass half full kind of fella are you

It is understood that representatives for COH Sports were among 80 parties to make initial calls to Wednesday’s administrators over the past month or so.
Telegraph Sport learnt of the approach after reports elsewhere that one interested party had suggested an extraordinary merger between the two rival clubs.

This reads to me as two separate things - that COH made an initial call (potentially out of curiosity regarding price, as others have alluded to) and that one of the many interested parties was interested merging the clubs. I'm not sure it's nailed on that the latter was COH.

Either way, COH should release a statement about it before the story gains too much negative traction. We've just stuffed the pigs at their gaff and we're on a bit of a high, the likes of which we haven't seen this season because it's been so poor. We don't need this bollocks.

If anything it'll be nice to hear from them, won't it.

They're in the gutter and our owners seemingly have enough money to theoretically take out the competition in the city. Business wise it makes complete sense but it wouldn't even be allowed by the EFL so it will never happen unless both clubs end up bankrupt
Hang on though. I thought they were skint and were going to have to have a fire sale come January?

Can we have a look at your books to have a chuckle please?

No

OK.. bye oh before you go. Who put the ball in your net?

Hello..hello you still there

Could you imagine having to sit next to their arrogant fans though? Bad enough your next to piss stained joggers that knuckles drag on the floor. Then they try have conversation with you about selling out qpr away & remember when etc...

They still would go on about boxing day, still have massive delusions, still be vile people.

They're unbearable as it is supporting an old tin pot club, can you imagine them supporting a new modern bigger club wih actual real crowds of 60-70k? They be like pigs now but on steroids.

No thanks.

This is something that 20 years ago nobody would entertain..

However, being realistic, both Sheffield clubs have been left behind to the point that they will be also rans in football for the rest of time..

The only way to adress this in terms of actually trying to win something by attracting a "mega money owner" and building a club capable of competing at the top level in England and European football would be to merge and create one club, with a fanbase that would eventually top 60k supporters attending games regularly, over time with the newly gained success this is a realistic number.

Won't be popular, but we (both sheff teams) are winning nothing for the forseeable future unless half the premier league up sticks and break away, of course this cheapens the premier league and waters everything else down along the way, the top prizes in English football then would be even more distant to us in the new super league that would then exist, if that were to happen..

whilst this is my take on things, i dont want a merger in my lifetime, but can I speak for the future generations of Sheffield football fans? Would it be right to condemn them to watching a team scrapping up and down for thier lifetime because I want nothing to do with that lot in S6?

I can't see a time where this would be acceptable to any current supporter of either club, but our futures are mapped out, even if one of us got lucky and had a group of young players that were all world class coming through our accademies, who would be capable of winning the premier league, they would be bought up by the top 6 teams to strengthen thier futures before a ball was kicked in Sheffield..

It's probaly not for my generaton, but I'm in my mid 50's and seen us win fuck all, will most likely die having seen us win nothing of note..

No major trophy for 100 years, none for the next 100? would we even have a club if this was to continue....

COH might not be football experts, but clearly can see how they might future proof Sheffield football for the next generations of football fans.

Tin hat on...
I would much rather support the Blades in the 4th division than a merged Sheffield Sillynannies in the Champions league. Let's face it, none of us became Blades fans in the expectation of success.

I did!

(It was either going to be us or Swindon Town though so…..)

Wendy will be in League One next season. Rules of a merger states that the new club would start in League One. COH will know that and it doesnt make business sense.

Ignore the clickbait news.

Piggy Wiggy feeding bollocks to tame journos.

Maybe they were interested in buying one or two assets out of Administration: if there are any.

Hang on, so in their moment of need their strong ties with Rangers, Man City and others aren't actually of any use to them..??

There’s nothing in this.

Strikes me as piggy nonsense fabricated to try and derail our fans after Sunday’s emphatic win.

There’s no way I could ever be on the same side as Pissmoor Robber

An aggressive takeover by COH, with “assets” immediately stripped and sold (elephants, scrap iron, land, wee Barry’s celebrity wigs), would surely return close to the £10m that Ashley is said to be willing to spend.

It would also be the only outcome funnier than ownership being reclaimed by Chancer via a third party.

Shame the regs make it impossible.
