Welcome to the forum.

Didn't know there was one... we've been told our pre-season is pretty much going to be dictated by whoever the new boss is :)

I'd imagine we will be playing you and it usually seems to be one of our last pre-season games but as soon as we get any fixtures confirmed, they'll be on the forum.

Yes we are deffo playing United but I couldn't establish a date out of Sheffield Club themselves. Contrary to you posting, the games have previously featured at different times throughout June to late July.

Most of the other clubs we are playing have already confirmed dates from mid-July to the end of July, so guessing it will be slotted int here somewhere.

If Chris Wilder is to be manager its nailed on ,him and Wit (Mourinho of the non-league apparently :-) )pitting their talents against each other.

New manager and assistant appointed so I assume Whit will have stood down.

Whit

New manager and assistant appointed so I assume Whit will have stood down.

Whit was only in charge until the end of the season, after Dolby left. He never went for the job when it came up, although agreed to continue working with Mark Shaw the new manager.

Whit runs a successful business in Sheffield and was finding that managing Sheffield Club was eating into his time.

Have to say he turned the club around from the moment he took charge and don't know many who have a bad word to say about him

Whits a great lad , known him for over 30 years ,be interesting to see where his loyalties would be in a game between Sheffield and Utd.

A few of the United lads came over to support us this season, I think through Whit and when he managed Bradway he had the likes of Agana turn out for him.

He's going to be taking more of an off field position now so can't imagine we would see any conflict when the two teams meet.

Just waiting for a date now as it has been confirmed the game is going to go ahead.
