yes think your spot on im sure rohl will be southampton manager this summer this juric guy just has a face that says he will be sacked soon charles and his agent will probably know rohl is all set for st marys he will stay there rohl might even take barnard and windass with him in the summer

He was at southampton in the championship last season and they barely played him.
 
If its true Rohl will be Southampton manager at the end of the season it probably makes sense Charles will stay at Wednesday. I don't get the impression he's our first choice anyway.

That bizzle guy seems to have an impressive hit rate.

By all accounts the player didn’t want to recalled.

I think Choudhury is our number 1 target and has been throughout. Would’ve preferred Charles tbf but never mind.

He did say that Rohl didn't want to go to Southampton though which is clearly nonsense.

Charles does want to go back there though. I don't think we will end up with him.

Fair point. They've met over last couple days and according to Nixon (I know I know) "buried the hatchet."

For what it's worth, early in the speculation of Rohl going Southampton, the same poster was adamant he was staying. There's been a lot of talk over the last couple of days that would indicate it wasn't as straight forward as him deciding to stay at Wednesday early doors and that he wanted to talk to Southampton.

With all that said you are right. It's all rumours until any of the clubs say anything official.

Think he was regurgitating the PR spin that Rohl and the club were putting on the situation before the Chancer opened his gob.

He’s a Manchester lad and his kid brother is a contracted goalie at Wednesday, so being at SWFC is a good domestic setup for him.
He’s one of our considerations (if available) but not our main target, so it’s always been unlikely he’ll come here.

I don’t think Southampton will play him much in the PL this season so his progress might stall or even regress if he goes back to Southampton.
It’s probably best for all parties if he serves out the 2nd half of the season at Hillsborough
But it seems that Southampton know SW have themselves a bargain, so are rightly now asking for a bigger wage contribution from SW.
Normally the loaning club just pay the increase but Chansiri can be erratic and might refuse, meaning Southampton might listen to new loan options.

If United are facing difficulty getting their number 1 target which appears to be Hamza Choudhury.
Then it’s possible we might try to bring in Charles on loan paying most or all his salary, don’t think Southampton will sell unless it’s crazy money
But you never know we might offer £15 million dependant on promotion or with an option to buy. Doubt it though.

Not doubting that the poster may know stuff but I don't know how anyone could be sure about anything at Wednesday. I imagine even Rohl hasn't got a fucking clue what's going on half the time

I don't know why Southampton don't play him. They're relegated and he's a young talent who you'd think will be in their team next season. It worked well for us with Blaster. Southampton playing some loan player instead of their own youngster when they essentially have nothing to play for seems shortsighted but then again they spent £7m on BBD who was the most unsuited player to their style imaginable.

Well the chairman certainly hasn't, most of the time, which is why I love him so much.
 
It’s definitely more likely he’ll go back to Wednesday rather than us if he is to go back out on loan.

As we reported recently Charles’ future depends on that of Lesley Ugochukwu, who signed for the Saints on loan from Chelsea in the summer. There was speculation that he could be recalled this month by the Londoners, leaving the Saints potentially short, but sources with knowledge of the situation have indicated to The Star that he is set to stay put on the south coast for the remainder of the season

And Charles has now been pushed even further down the pecking order at St. Mary’s after the Saints struck a deal for Albert Gronbaek, the Denmark international at Rennes. Gronbaek has signed for Southampton on an initial loan deal, with an option to make it permanent in the summer, while another midfielder at the French club, former Blades target Glen Kamara, has also been linked with Ivan Juric’s side.

The Blades are in the market for a midfielder of the profile that Charles fits, after losing Oliver Arblaster to a season-ending ACL injury - ironically suffered against Charles and Wednesday in the first Steel City derby of the season back in November. He is set to make one final appearance for the Owls, against Bristol City tomorrow night at Hillsborough, before returning to St. Mary’s ahead of a decision on his next steps.
 
I’ve had a Wednesdayite taking great pleasure in claiming it was them that ended Arblasters season. It’d be great if we nicked one of their better players to replace him!

Their pitch always looks like a load of pigs have been snuffling for truffles so I’m not convinced we need to pinching the bloke responsible away from them!
