yes him getting recalled tells me juric is already preparing for the championship next season no way pigs will get him back mind reckon he will be re-united with rohl he wants to go back to southampton its obvious

Find it strange in the presser he went into detail when talking about Charles.

He skipped over JJK and that one seems to be relatively close.

But Charles like Houston_Blade said he went into detail about his agent and how they are pals and how it’s not a wind up. I’m starting to add things up and think there may be something in this. 🤞

You would think he’ll know exactly why we struggled and what’s needed to make sure we are more competitive when we return.

Wilder did state in todays interview that we’re after a right back and he brought up that Alfie can play centre back.
He excelled as centre back playing 17 times for Chelsea last season, think he played in a back 5 there, so he’s clearly PL level.

Or he might be thinking at Premier league level, defensive midfielders protecting the defence is one of the most important positions on the pitch.
Hence the interest in an athletic box to box stopper like young Charles.

Absolutely my thought buddy. I think Wilder is planning recruiting for next year in the premier league.

It's not arrogant or dillusiomary just good fucking planning. But obviously a risk if we don't go up.

Surely Southampton are now at the point where they have one eye on next season and planning for championship football?

It doesn’t really make sense to help develop a Chelsea player when they could be giving game time in the premier league to one of their own young players.

They should but they’ve only given the new manager a 6 month deal maybe he feels he’s under pressure to show improvement now to increase his chances of getting an extension rather than planning for the longer term benefit of the club.
 
just wonder if wilder is being a little mischevious with this one he knows wednesday fans hate him he could well be on the winde up but it would be hilarious if we signed him and he helped us get 3 points at the sty in march cant see pigs making top 6 anyway but without charles theyve no chance

The 6 month deal falls into the rohl contract where the 5 million release clause drops down to 2 mill .Wonder if that's why they have fallen out

I’d wouldn’t be shocked at all if Rohl is already pencilled in as their manager for next year. Still the bloke currently in the job will probably logically be doing anything and everything he can to change that and keep getting paid.

Can have as many as you like but you can only have 5 in the match day squad.

Premier League limited to 2 players from any one club as far as I know.

Partially agree.

My view is that we are definitely interested but he’s not the main defensive midfield target. Also we don’t know if he’s even available, there’s a chance Southampton prefer to keep him and will only sell if they receive a stupid offer, like something approaching £15 million.

Wilder probably knows the bigger picture is there’s only a small chance of Charles joining us
But he’s enjoying the fact that we’re genuinely interested, currently making enquiries about their best player.
 
I reckon it was a case of we like him. His agent knows wilder so is on board but the player needs convincing.

Pay him a few public compliments after Chancer publicly said he wasn’t good enough to the premier league and see if we can win him round to the idea of moving to the correct side of Sheffield
 
If Souza is to be moved on before his contract expires and will not sign a new one if we get promoted. We need someone to replace him and Charles on loan with an option to buy could be that man, he also has experience at Centre back, which covers us if Anel decides he wants to go

Podcaster/Pundit Ali Maxwell said this week that Charles would be a "massive benefit" to Southampton if they start playing him in the Premier League. "Everything about his game screams the perfect midfield profile to play at Premier League level".

I try not to watch Wednesday as I seem to be a lucky charm for them. So I've hardly seen this guy play. But this is a glowing recommendation.

He's more an attacking midfielder similar to O'Hare I believe but still very interesting in terms of us in for Charles

Spot on, according to my pig friend (who is ITK, he's written numerous books and articles on them) Rohl has played this well. Joining a relegated club in December would have been suicidal, all goodwill lost by May. This way he can start with a clean slate in the summer and re-build from scratch. The politics at the sty and the owner are just too much for Rohl, and he's using the Charles situation and pressure to sell Smith as his get out of jail cards.
