It's staged acting, Jesus, if it wasn't he'd break his legs!
Why do you think most "Wrestlers" go into acting!!??
Or are you 10 too?
Excellent post Sir.The outcome is predetermined. That's about as fake as it gets I'm afraid.
What happens in the ring is more akin to a dance. The main priority is to work together with your opponent without seriously injuring them. But when they perform moves on each other it really does hurt and kicks and punches do make contact. People think wrestling mats are like bouncy castles but they're a lot more unforgiving than that. Trust me, it fucking hurts.
Physically, it's one of the most insanely brutal professions there is. People just don't realise how tough these people are and what they put themselves through.
You say he would've broken his legs if it was real, well sadly a lot of them do. And worse. People have lost their lives in the ring.
Most wrestlers have very long injury lists and often have to work while injured on a regular basis.
All this on top of the ridiculous travelling schedules (wrestling never stops, it keeps rolling 365 days a year) is the reason a lot of them end up with alcohol and drug dependencies. This is reason for the ridiculous amount of wrestlers who pass away at a young age, either by taking their own lives or because their bodies simply give up.
All of this is why it's disrespectful to call what they do fake or staged acting. That's why wrestlers often slap the shit out of people who say these things to their faces.
You know that question you asked about the level at which you function...
Regardless of whether it’s gay, it’s definitely the low point of western civilisation. Somewhere south of Mrs Brown’s Boys.![]()
Well. I think it's very unhygienic.
If you mean the outcome is predetermined then you're absolutely right. Nobody denies that.
Fake? No way.
Go and get in a wrestling ring old man.
You'd get fucking killed.
And yet it carries less health risks than sticking your hand up a woman from Norwich.
For someone who doesn’t watch it you are remarkably fervent. Go on, who’s your favourite? Please tell us. Which ones do you boo and heckle? Do you carry a card with some steroid-pumped hulk’s catchphrase on and hold it up at ringside?
I knew it. I absolutely knew it.
Keep your head down though, they’re still looking for you.
I'm tempted to have today's date tattooed on my person somewhere, the date I agreed with Pinchy! That’s fair enough. Let’s not kid ourselves though, that it’s anything other than a scripted, rehearsed circus with the results determined in advance. One thing it most certainly is not and that’s a sport.
I used to be a big fan when I was younger but like I said, I don't watch it anymore.
I had to get the wife to explain it to me, strangely Mrs Foody knows all about wrestling.
I'm guessing then, that you've watched the film "WRESTLER", a film that Nicky Rourke played The Ram.The outcome is predetermined. That's about as fake as it gets I'm afraid.

Yes, most of your favourite steroid junkies are dead now. So I’ll gladly take them on in the squared circle.
Now then, how did I know you’d be a wrestling fan?...

If you read abit it, he did his homework on his role, by talking to many wrestlers that were past and present at the time.
I'm not disagreeing they don't get hurt, but, the bouts are rehearsed, the winner is pre determined, the outcome is fixed. It isn't real in the sense that it's a show, it's all about acting and ratings.
Boxing is a totally different affair, the damage caused/sustained is clear for all to see, the winner is the one left standing, or the one with the highest points, hence, reality.
Neither me or PeterNdlovu081 are disputing that. It is a show, but the stunts they perform day in day out are very much real, and they hurt.but, the bouts are rehearsed, the winner is pre determined, the outcome is fixed. It isn't real in the sense that it's a show
You'd not be able to walk for a week.

Brilliant article and more fantastic journalism. We managed to get a replay out of today apparently.
You've just pointed it out by contradicting yourself and saying exactly what I have been, "NOT A REAL FIGHT"...........Not Real!Nobody claims that wrestling is a sport though.
And everybody knows that it is predetermined and not a real fight.
So what's your point?
