I'm with you on the collar bone. I effectively dislocated both my collar bones. (There's a medical term for it) Fucking agony. Both of them stick out now. Same re sleeping. This made me chuckle.
Two injuries I've been unfortunate enough to get from playing rugby.
My collar bone still pokes out. Pains excruciating, sleeping is difficult and there's nothing that can be done for it other than a sling to keep it in place.
With a dislocated shoulder it can be popped back in.
A shit load of discomfort and bruising follows, but it can heal pretty quickly.
Silent Blade .... zzzzZ
I did my collar bone playing rugby, and yep the bone permanently sticks out of my shoulder. Our coach kept trying to get me to go back on the pitch and play, for some reason he kept squirting water on it from a water bottle, like some sort magic sponge replacement. Anyway, it probably only took about 6 weeks to heal. This made me chuckle.

Don't know much about dislocated shoulders, except I've known a few people who've just had them "popped" back in again and carried on. I guess it depends on the damage it does to ligaments and tendons that will determine severity
As a few others have said, the Blackburn players were completely disrespectful and unsportsmanlike in pressuring the referee and our physios to get him off…
Especially considering Hedges was helped off the field with an injury 15 minutes before.
Sounds like your injury updates are all based on first hand experience!Had to laugh at the magic-sponge anecdote.
Similarly, my coach asked me if I could lift my arm above 90°... if I could "there's no way it's broken."
I couldn't... until he helped (forced) it up there and then declared me alright to continue.
(I refused).
An X-Ray half an hour later revealed it was snapped in two places.
Mine still hadn't properly healed 6-8 weeks later but I played out the last few matches of the season dodging tackles on that side.
As for shoulder dislocation... my mate popped it back in and I finished the game in a lot of discomfort, but was then out for a few weeks once the swelling and bruising kicked in.
Have also had mates need surgery for bad ones, so it really depends.
A lot of guys get them when they're tap-tackled as they're not braced for impact, which isn't dissimilar to what happened with Seriki today.

Ref was weird. Very fussy first half, giving free kicks for next to nothing. Second half the opposite he played on for most things. One of their players had to be dragged away and should have been booked for harassing the ref and Seriki.
The ref seemed to lose his yellow card when it came to needing to issue one to a Blackburn player.
Where’ve you heard that please?Seriki- injury not deadly serious, possibly back for first leg, should be back for second leg.

Genuine, credible source.Where’ve you heard that please?
I assume so.He’s had the scan then?
Heard the same, Source.... Seriki himself.Genuine, credible source.
Heard the same, Source.... Seriki himself. He said 60:40 Thursday, Should be 100% home leg
It was v Brighton in April 1978, midweek match. Speight and Cutbush scored. Yes, it was Cec Coldwell who corrected Hamson's dislocated finger in front of the South Stand, Hamson was in a lot of pain but a few seconds later he trotted back onto the pitch as if nothing had happened and was ready to tackle anyone. The injury anecdotes reminded me of the (night) game when Gary Hamson (clearly) dislocated a finger - at a 70 degree angle to the other 3
‘Trainer’ (late ‘70’s - none of this ‘physio’ bollocks); may have been Ces ?) must have told him he was “just going to pop it back”
Hamson reacted as though he was going to have his kidney removed with blunt & rusty (kiddies) scissors- in the middle of his escalating histrionics Ces grabs the offending hand & displaced digit - a second later, job done & Hamson returned to ‘the fray’ albeit with a startled & bemused expression
May been the League Cup game when we beat Liverpool (Hamson scored the only goal) although only Silent Blade would know that![]()

Cutbush's goal was from a very tight angle on the right. At the Kop End.Champion
Can I give myself 8/10 - I just got giddy with the Liverpool bit ?!?
I was going to pass comment on Speight & Cutbush scoring in same game (season) until I consulted thickipedia - JC’s only goal for us !!!!!

5 to 7 days?Looked like an acromioclavicular injury to me the way he appeared straight after the injury. If so , different grades of injury. If a grade 1 or 2 then painful at the time but could quickly recover.

You’re a doctor, I take it? Is it ok if I send you a photo of the grotesque weeping sores on Bell4 s nob? He’s too shy to ask.Looked like an acromioclavicular injury to me the way he appeared straight after the injury. If so , different grades of injury.
