Selles confirmed: "Yes, we are (bringing in some familiar faces). James and Toby have been working with me and my previous clubs in England, and they have been fundamental for my success.

Do you want to ask him or shall i ?

Well he's unbeaten since he took over which is better than wilders record, ffs our fans at times, do you think when wilder gets a new job he will say I'm bringing knilly because he was with me when we lost 29 out of 38 in the Premier league and he stuck by me when we got beat 8-0, 6-0-5-0 twice and then lost a playoff final year after

The last word in the quote has got me baffled.
Why didn't you just say that?

If I'm honest I was a little underwhelmed by his signing, but the level of criticism he's getting already is poor form from our 'supporters'. If you continue to moan, with nothing to back it up, all you do is create a negative environment. Fair enough if we're mid table after half a season. But one day with nothing but misguided bulshit criticism that gives him no credit for what he's done in his career so far... You're the problem, not him.

Yeah but he's not a blaaaaade and he dunt get it I will put money on it now if we beat Wednesday next season there's no chance he's on a table singing songs about their manager, so why is he even here? He's never sat on kop or watched Keith Edwards what right has he got to manage us? What next with these yanks, they are liability I tell thi, sacking managers just because they are in charge, I mean how many other people take over businesses and then want to employ their own staff, anyone would think they were businessmen it will never catch on in S2 get Billy sharp in..

But at least he won’t call us supporters ‘punters’. I hope…

Its hardly classed as "success" keeping Hull up thats bullshit pig type hype.....yet Wilder is the failure in all this which i think is a shame.

We will see what the Selles crack is soon enough...i hope he overwhelms me with wins..but not Wilder type wins because those wins were gifted to him on a plate were'nt they.

I think people might be looking at the fact wilder just got us a 92 point season. Best in the clubs history in tier 2. Best team at Wembley and players can’t stick chances away. You also have a short memory as no one was predicting what’s happened this season, even tho now it seems everyone knew and Wilder basically did an average job!

It’s obviously a bonus that wilder was a United fan, why do you ramble on about it as if some on here need to be embarrassed that we liked the fact he was one of our own. He showed some actual passion and wasn’t a boring drone that Selles looks like he will be (I watched his interview and it took me 2 mins to realise how bad this move is)

Cos he didn't beat the badge on his chest?

Think you might be onto something.

And the new owners might be looking at the fact they took the club over when we were in the top 2 averaging well over 2 points per game and on course for the 100 points that Burnley and Leeds achieved and they backed the incumbent manager that they obviously didn't want, and then sat and watched Burnley and Leeds pull away from us and then Sunderland beat us in the final, and they probably thought u know what we don't give a fuck about his passion, he's not one of our own we are American and we own the club and he's just failed to get us promoted and had 2 chances autos and playoffs, and they have probably worked out that u don't need a club records points total to get promoted and they have probably looked at the playing staff and think that the new manager can get this team up, they probably don't think there will be a dramatic points drop off with a new manager with the same players which I can understand and they will of course have factored in the variables of if there is can we still finish top 6 and go up, football owners are not fans they have no emotional tie to the club it's a business and they make business decisions based on results and targets being achieved, look at spurs with postecoglu awful season in the league but won a European trophy and in champions league next season, they were unlikely to finish top 4 and get in champs league from league positioning so to sack him there's an argument it was harsh same as wilder, but he failed in the league same as wilder whichever way you want to look at it and whichever positive spin you try and put, record points, 90, 92, whatever bottom line is we start next season in the same league we finished in and that's a failure for the board, they have chosen someone they believe can go to the next step yet all they are getting is wilderites stating how it's the worst decision appointment since weir /heath /adkins/Adams

Depends what you class as success.....if we finish 7th next season that will be a success for him..(i hope we finish 1st btw)
7th won't be a success for him at this club. The board will be targeting automatic promotion. I'd say he needs to finish top 4 as a minimum

21st with Hull was a success considering they were bottom when he took over.
He left Reading in 6th place which was fantastic considering the turmoil at the club the season before.
