Cheers 58, Len is right on one thing (broken clock and all that), if they hadn't started selling 6 months ago and started 6 weeks ago they wouldn't have sold anything like what they have. A good move by the fat one get the money in before you drop down the league.

from the sounds of it they needed to sell them early to cover their losses on last years playing budget
old fatboy has pulled a fast one there and the pigs love him for it

gullible fools be intersting to see what next years budget will be

Yup, even if they survive, their budget will need to be cut to cover Strafford's over-optimistic projections for this season.

Unless of course Bill Gates reveals himself to be a closet Wendyite.

When do they go on general sale for fans wanting to sign up who didn't have one this season?

Glad to see a degree of common sense has descended on the club with the deadline extension but a bizarre way to go about it.
But better late than never and at least the club listened.

How do you see it as bizarre Len? I see it as quite sensible on the club's part.
If the deadline had initially been after the Wednesday game, and we'd lost that, how do you think that would have affected sales?
This way, we've already sold around 13,000, and now, having not lost the derby, there may well be a fair few more fans not feeling so despondent and wanting to renew.

Nothing to say about the 13,000 all ready sold then Len? How bizarre!

I don't think we will have the number of renewals as we have been acustomed too in the last couple of seasons or so. I believe we will lose our Premier Leagues support and in my own opinion this may be a good thing.
I don't want to sound like a grade A nonce but without these fans there isn't the riddiculous expectations of us winning the league and not really contributing anything to the club (except in their hard earned and plentiful cash) but vocally they are worse than empty seats.

when i renewed mine on saturday morning i asked about swapping seat - so therefore having to wait for general sale - and then woman behind the desk said there was no offical date yet but some time at the begining of June. It will be on the OS as soon as the date is confirmed.

She also reckons we had sold between close to 'last years figures' but no one had been told an actually number yet.

Cheers SB, I guess we'll have to just wait. Anything to say about the renewals Len 13,000, same as last year, more than wednesday?

Two football clubs.
Both set a deadline for renewals.
One sets it for April 10, the other for April 17.
The first one sells 9,000.
The second one sells maybe the same. Actually sells close to 13,000
The first one sold around 14,000 last year in total. 64% renewals
The second one sold around 19,000. 68% renewals
Both clubs sold season tickets throughout last summer
Both clubs will sell season tickets throughout this summer.
I can see where the goalposts are. I can also see how the maths work.
As someone once said, it's not rocket science.
Do we always have to go through the 'we don't like what Len says' for a few weeks before it becomes accepted? because yet is again it seems to be wrong.

It's about now Len you need to switch to "your argument was that we wouldn't sell as many ST as last season and had nothing to do with renewals or Wednesday".
