Blackdog, they didnt do half season tickets this year. I didnt renew last year but was going to get a 1/2 season ticket, and they didnt do them but im going to get them again when they come back on general sale. Having a year off has done my motivation for going a power of good. I lost all appetite for watching them during the 92 point season being served up dirge almost every game, as i didnt go i stayed off here as well but now im going to go ill contribute a little on here

Football is now shit, stupid kick off times for tv , midweek games v Southampton Portsmouth Bristol, as far away possible midweek .why not play teams within an hours travel midweek, I will renew but I am not looking forward to it

Because generally speaking the amount of people that would do a huge away trip at a weekend as opposed to in midweek is absolutely minimal. Whereas if you had, say, Burnley away next season midweek, that is a piece of piss at the weekend but likely impossible outside of car/coach for a night game. It is done to maximise attendances across the season for all clubs, not the opposite as you seem to think

I think it is fair to say the game today is skewed for the TV audiences rather than for fans supporting their local team. Local fans are the last in the thoughts of the games governing bodies to them it is all about maximising TV revenue which then is mainly paid out to the Premier League whose clubs just skim off the better players make them millionaires even if they just sit on the bench most of the time, a perfect example Kalvin Phillips who to be honest I don't think is that good.

Attendances across the PL and FL are highest they have been for decades. Must be someone going right for match going fans.

PL tourists maybe? How many Man U fans actually live close to Manchester?

It’s the Football League as well.
Yes but with only 20 clubs in the Prem there are a lot of big clubs in the Football League, Sunderland and Leeds last season both can count on 40,000 Leeds have another 20,000 on a waiting list. The rise of loyalty schemes too are an incentive to buy Season Tickets just in case your club gets to a cup final or something the fear of missing out is played on. Of course all-seater stadia cut the supply which raised the demand and prices, a different fan base now more middle class than working class, I think today's fan has become a subscriber to a brand partly for fear of missing out if the team has any success, the days of the walk-up supporter is coming to an end at the larger clubs.
