Renewed x2 last week. And I would do whoever was the manager and whatever league we were in. I haven’t enjoyed much of the last three seasons and the style of play has been largely shit, but I’ve been around long enough to understand that supporting the Blades means plenty of ups and downs and that eventually everything changes.

Blackdog, they didnt do half season tickets this year. I didnt renew last year but was going to get a 1/2 season ticket, and they didnt do them but im going to get them again when they come back on general sale. Having a year off has done my motivation for going a power of good. I lost all appetite for watching them during the 92 point season being served up dirge almost every game, as i didnt go i stayed off here as well but now im going to go ill contribute a little on here

Football is now shit, stupid kick off times for tv , midweek games v Southampton Portsmouth Bristol, as far away possible midweek .why not play teams within an hours travel midweek, I will renew but I am not looking forward to it

Because generally speaking the amount of people that would do a huge away trip at a weekend as opposed to in midweek is absolutely minimal. Whereas if you had, say, Burnley away next season midweek, that is a piece of piss at the weekend but likely impossible outside of car/coach for a night game. It is done to maximise attendances across the season for all clubs, not the opposite as you seem to think

I think it is fair to say the game today is skewed for the TV audiences rather than for fans supporting their local team. Local fans are the last in the thoughts of the games governing bodies to them it is all about maximising TV revenue which then is mainly paid out to the Premier League whose clubs just skim off the better players make them millionaires even if they just sit on the bench most of the time, a perfect example Kalvin Phillips who to be honest I don't think is that good.

Attendances across the PL and FL are highest they have been for decades. Must be someone going right for match going fans.

PL tourists maybe? How many Man U fans actually live close to Manchester?

It’s the Football League as well.
Yes but with only 20 clubs in the Prem there are a lot of big clubs in the Football League, Sunderland and Leeds last season both can count on 40,000 Leeds have another 20,000 on a waiting list. The rise of loyalty schemes too are an incentive to buy Season Tickets just in case your club gets to a cup final or something the fear of missing out is played on. Of course all-seater stadia cut the supply which raised the demand and prices, a different fan base now more middle class than working class, I think today's fan has become a subscriber to a brand partly for fear of missing out if the team has any success, the days of the walk-up supporter is coming to an end at the larger clubs.

If giving up your season ticket means you don't post here, then that's a sacrifice I'm willing to let you take.

BTW I don't know you or have any problem with you, I'm just being a rude cunt ;)

Haven't had one for 10 years now , at first due to work but now because of health issues ( nothing serious just osteoarthritis and can't sit in the cold for long ) just waiting to win euro millions then I can have a box 😍😍

3 out of 5 of family have not re-newed lads had one nearly 30yrs.

The three aren't really supporting then are they? By definition. Well done to the other two. Supporters.

I always make the distinction between supporters and fans. Supporters actually go to games and encourage their team and fans just have a club that is their particular favourite.

I have little enthusiasm to pay the big lump and renew but they've got us by the balls with the difference between matchday price average with ST and without - it's significant. If you will go to over about 8 games you might as well just renew

They've also got me by the balls because I'm right on the top tier loyalty point borderline and without the points from a ST purchase I'll no longer be a Top Blade

Judging by the regular empty seats around me, in a part of the ground where there shouldn't be any, a large number are not going to renew, and there will be opportunity to change seats to some in good areas
Anybody THINKING about it and in good health GET ONE
DESPITE BREXIT sorry DESPITE WILDER
I don't see how they can keep him on despite the bigoted press support (professional and bloggers) and a brain dead VOCAL fan base,
HE IS WASTING THEIR money
Destroying THEIR asset.
Good value if the manager changes whereas as this bloke says match day prices are ludicrous
When first introduced having a 300 mile round trip I used the MEMBER system.
Last figures I saw that was another ripoff

At City or ManU ?

Nah fuck that I can be happy enough at BDTBL 😁
even if the football is turgid, if I've got a pint , my heart meds and my angina spray I'll be reight.
A pint o' Bovril - that's the stuff - my old man & his old man used to say the tea ladies at the Lane should patent their technique for burning water coz it was technically impossible but they achieved it.
Sometimes I fancy a bit o' decent scenery and stroll through the cosmetics dept.
If they ever try to squirt me I ask them if they've got a drop of 'Pipesmoke & Bovril' coz that would tek me right back
