then theres Linz, S24SU answer to Beightonblades on Bladesmad, you are the single most negative, anti club person ever to grace this board, if you can't moan you don't post, you are a disgrace to this board.

Hahahaha. You what? :D

I can only suggest that you perhaps take your own advice and read properly before sticking your size 9s in, as it appears that the nuances of the English language (and the use of smilies) is something which has escaped you in your 58 years.

I might also suggest that you wind your neck in and desist with the personal attacks, not only against me as a "disgrace" (lol) but the rest of the posters on this thread who are able to post without attacking each other and, in case you didn't notice, with no small amount of humour.

If you wish to discuss this further, I suggest you contact admin. I look forward to it.

Hahaha indeed.

Im 58 years of age and i can understand what I'm reading and seeing, god knows that perhaps 99% of this board are under 3's.

Are you fucked up on glue? If you really knew Linz you'd know that you were about as far from the truth as it's possible to get. Negative and anti club? Really? So anti club that she and her husband spend a good deal of time and money on running this site.

They say that with age comes wisdom. In some cases they are clearly wrong.

That looks to me like our cheapest adult season ticket is cheaper than 4 out of the 6 clubs we're comparing with. It's only our highest priced ticket which is relatively expensive.

The way I interpreted the figures was that our highest price ticket actually makes up the bulk of the home areas. What does the Kop hold when full - around 8000? - and despite some emotional attachment to the Kop from some, few would argue that the Club could charge any more on there. The view is sketchy in some areas and the facilities are poor (especially when it rains).

Despite Bob's diatribe, I don't mind the price for my renewal. I just perhaps expected something a bit different with how long we've been in this division after a season where for long stretches we appeared to be exiting downwards and with the new commercial team and joint-owners in. Interest-free credit at least?

I know they've said that they were taking peoples' wallets into account, but I also don't understand why tickets weren't made available sooner, but the renewal deadline extended? They could've had my money in March... Beginning of April if they wanted it in this tax year for some reason. Not the case for us, but some families might be looking at the money/credit card and seeing Spanish beaches now and not Tuesday nights in February v. Bradford.

Not complaints. Just a bit puzzled.

Anyway, my £500 is in the bank, ready and waiting. And the regular saver is already set up for next year's.

o_O

Ha ha ha ha ha. And ha ha ha ha ha again. Bob, you have made my day. Thank you.

I sincerely hope you've PM'd Linz to apologise. If you're struggling for the right words there are some excellent wordsmiths on here who I'm sure would be very happy to help you draft something.

Bearing in mind that t'owd len graced this board for a while, you've set the bar pretty high there Bob mate. You youngsters eh?

Think il be getting one for first time in a few years..I'm just trying to convince the wife with how much cheaper it is by confusing her with mathematical bollocks.:).
She says I can have one if I cut down on my match day drinking...

I am so enthused (is that the right word?) for the new season I am going to buy my first ever season ticket which will mean a 400 mile round trip for each home game
And part of this has been this forum which has made me want to be in the thick of the action
See you on the Kop next year!!

Bob, I'm of a similar vintage to you; I can read and comprehend the English language.
Might I suggest that you purchase a copy of "The Chimp Paradox" by Dr Steve Peters
I've recently read it and I'm sure it will be of some benefit and will bring some clarity to you in respect of the way the human mind works and how, when your mind gremlins become agitated, you can manage them for the best personal outcome

Fair comment, although I suppose in terms of facilities and view I could argue that the Kop is better than even the best parts of many grounds in League 1. True, the Kop doesn't hold enough for us all to sit there, but until it's sold out (which it won't be) then everyone has that opportunity. I would certainly be unhappy if an improvement to view/facilities on the Kop triggered an increase in price in line with the rest of the ground - having an area with a low price is important.

I must admit, I've also found the season ticket prices announcement slightly unexciting in the circumstances (I wondered if we'd do something radical), but I think it's generally fair.

I agree, but surely toilets better than an old cow shed with a wriggly tin roof and limited catering kiosks shouldn't be acceptable? Big puddles and overflowing bins? Low prices shouldn't mean low standards.

Yeah... no real complaints. Just expected something different :)

EDIT: Especially when the talk is of thanking "loyal" fans and the main change in offering is for people who, for whatever reason, didn't renew their ST last year... Or might not have had one since we got relegated from the Prem. It's a good thing to grow the core support and I don't begrudge anyone taking up the offer. The more the merrier.

But for those of us who've paid £400 year after year, it's a case of "yep... Just give us your cash, we know you're good for it". Which is true... but it would be nice to be courted somewhat :)

Good on you. I did a 350 mile round trip from Maidenhead for 10 years and never regretted it or considered giving it up.

Gave me 9hrs quality time with my son every home game and that is something you can't put a price on.

Was it Bob who moaned about people liking real ale and told us we were all deluded about it because it was shit?

I agree about overflowing bins, puddles, and an effective roof on the toilet (although they are not things I've noticed myself). However I would place catering facilities in the category of being something where you should expect less choice in a cheaper part of the ground. Presumably the facilities which are there reflect what can be made to turn a profit. If they provided more choice, extra kiosks etc it would cost money - so the ticket price would have to be increased to fund that. That would annoy people like me who have no interest in the catering facilities (matches aren't often at meal times).

My experience of the Kop is that it's basic, but fine - and I expect to pay a price which reflects that it's basic - which I think I do.

I'd accept grotty facilities if the prices matched, but they are the same prices as the rest of the ground, so why aren't the catering facilities equal? I don't use them much, but when I do I'd rather they were better than they are. Selling the food they actually advertise would be a start

Bob's post is possibly the funniest I've ever read on here:D
Maybe its the coal dust that's befuddled his grey matter? ;)

Well, you pay the same for a pie, but then I assume it's the same pie, so that seems reasonable. You may get less choice, which I think is also reasonable given the cheaper ticket price. Mind you, I do agree that if they advertise something, it should be available. If they are going to sell a smaller range, then only the things they sell should be advertised.

Can we have a 'HOW NOT TO...' thread, with Bob as the headline act?

I was trying to reconcile this between the time of month (male version), he's just been told some terrible medical truth, or he's lost a the winning euro lottery ticket. A masterpiece of sullen, disproportionate, hermit-like paranoia.....

Bob, you've got a screw loose mate, but I'd love to read more about your version of Blades-Narnia.

Very happy with the ST prices and will be renewing again. To be fair, I don't think the club could have done much more to help and encourage fans to buy.

But as always - the most important factor in increasing our crowds is success on the pitch. Having said that, given the first two thirds of this season, to average over 17,000 as we have done is outstanding.

Is it safe to assume that the prices which have been released are the early bird prices, and that once the deadline passes we will see a separate publication with post deadline prices? I expected to find two sets of prices published, one giving the early bird price and one giving the full price but unless i am missing something there is only one set of prices.

to be fair to bob hes man enough or daft enough to post in his real name ,give the old guy a break he had a lot of bangs on the head defending the shoreham many moons ago.and like we all say its abart opinions
