Hope someone from the Championship gives him a contract, he deserves a chance.
I can't see it tbh. I think his best bet is L1. He could go back to Scotland but I think he could earn less there. I can see him at somewhere like MKD. That said, his girlfriend has apparently left her job so he can't have been hopeful about getting a contract with Donny or Rotherham and maybe he just wants to go home.

Would've loved to see him push his way into the first team this season but he plays a game and then he's out for three weeks with a knock. Any League One side would be getting a bargain if they can get him fit and keep him fit.

A few weeks after he had signed for us he was in house of Fraser in Meadowhall looking at mens wear when I saw him and his girlfriend as I passed him I said "you look just like stefan scougal" and walked passed him, turned and gave him a wink, he and his girl both laughed, as I say he hadn't been with us long, I like to think he thought, not a bad place to live and play footie this Sheffield.good luck scougs hope you get all you wish for in the game.

I liked Scoogs!! Nigel Clough could come in for him. He said he was one for the future when he bought him. Hope he does well where ever he goes. Good luck Stefan!!

I'm not claiming he's good enough I just think he deserves a chance. Maybe Clough will come in for him?

Scougall, the 24-year-old Scot, scored seven goals in 76 league games for United - including one in the FA Cup semi-final at Wembley against Hull in 2014.

FA Cup goals count as league goals now do they?

Wish him all the best. Contributed this season, was it 6 goals, scored 1 and made 1 v MK at Lane, MOTM v Oxford at Lane and won penalty to claim draw at Scunny.

Great finish in semi at Wembley, something I'll never forget. Great lad with great attitude, would be a good signing for any club in League 1 or 2.

Will go on and have a good career. His attitude is top drawer and he's got plenty of ability. Didn't play much this year but he's played in some big games and big atmospheres at The Lane.

Goes with our best wishes.

Would be a cracking signing for Rotherham next season IMO. Shame he couldn't break into our team, but let's be honest, he never stood a chance in THAT midfield did he?

Good luck Scoogs!

Looking at menswear wistfully before moving onto the boys section to actually buy his clothes?

Good look Scougs

He provided a few highlights during a dark dank miserably low period for the blades. For that I thank him and wish him well.

Always good when you can give respect and affection to a player when they leave....and says a lot about how the club is at the moment that he has gone yet shown nothing but praise for this season....despite his release.

Class all round. Wish him the best....I feel a league one side would do well to snap him up, just wasn't quite good enough to compete with the midfield Wilder put together.

So where's he gonna go then? Fleetwood?? Or somewhere like Rotherham and stay local?
Possibly end up mid table side or just promoted? Doncaster maybe....or end up nearer Scotland with Carlisle/Blackpool perhaps.

One of the ways the game has changed since I were a lad is the average physical size and upper body strength of players. It's a hard thing to say, but someone that wee is not going to make it in top flight football these days. I always thought Russell Beardsmore - who many thought was the most naturally talented of the Fergie fledglings - was a classic example of this, he simply got wrestled off the ball. The problem is exacerbated by the way the interpretation of the rules has outlawed perfectly legitimate tackles but condones stuff like THAT sumo throw.

It was an odd quirk of FLN's spell here that he acquired so many players who would struggle to see over the steering wheel of a BMW.

The goal scoog's scored at Wembley is the one I'll remember for 2 reasons.

1, We'd just celebrated Baxter's open play goal AT WEMBLEY and the chance to celebrate a goal there was something special.

2, The sinking feeling when Hull equalised was soon erased when moments later the wee man was jockey on the spot to retake the lead from Murphy's low cross. The noise was incredible as was the sight of 30,000 + Blades jumping up and down in celebration.

Thank you Scoog's for your service to the Blades.

All the Best Scooooooogs. Can't fault him for his effort. Will always remember his debut, thought we had a real gem on our hands. Will always be grateful for his Wembley goal.
