Andre Gray scored a last minute penalty in their 2-1 loss today and he's a massive Arsenal fan... it looked like his goal would be the equalizer as it came in the 93rd minute, it didn't prove to be so, however...

If you were a footballer for any team in England and you're team won a penalty against Sheffield United to level it up in the 90th minute, would you take it?

If you were the nominated penalty taker and refused for that reason, you wouldn't be a pro footballer for much longer

Yes, without hesitation. I would run up and smash it into row Z.

If I was getting £50k a week, I'm sorry to say professionalism would take over...

I'd take it in the hope that scoring against Blades made them notice me and attempt to sign me in the next available transfer window

In reality if you was a pro footballer then of course you'd try to score but your celebrations would be muted.

The only potential issue is if it was the final game of the season In a game affecting promotion or relegation.
I'd prefer someone else to take the pen.

You would probably relish it after reading on here that you're useless. Billy enjoyed scoring against us for that reason I suspect.

I know this is hypothetical but chances are if you don't have the attitude required to take that penalty then you're unlikely to be a professional footballer. We like to pretend otherwise but there are usually 22 professional mercenaries running about on any given professional football ground.

It would depend for me, if the game meant something for my team or nothing for United I'd take it and try and score, if the other way round I'd let someone else take or miss on purpose

Against Sheff U? Only if my name were Don Givens. He's good at pens.
