Ah, the good old 'penalties don't count'again, penalty. apart from that he didn't have a good game. if he didn't get that penalty then it would've been a dire performance overall. but everyone only sees the goals side of things but not about how he actually plays. he didn't offer anything
Wolves at home was only due to us having 10 men to be fair but I do agree, Brooks gives us the edge. He's the one who can offer us something different, come back into midfield to overload the midfield (would be even better now with Evans playing deeper I think) and then push up and support Clarke. Brilliant footballer. Our two best performances of the season came with him out the side. Wednesday away and Wolves at home.
The sooner Brooks is back, the better. He’s the one we are missing most, and he’s the one who needs to be playing alongside Clarke.
I think pigs away was a brilliant performance personally mate. Apart from just after half time till when they scored their 2nd and Duffy became the bounce killer we were pretty poor, the rest of the game we had them on the ropes all game.Sorry but they were our 'best two results' IMHO.
Our 'best' performances came at Leeds and at home against Derby, Hull and Sunderland.
All about opionions, eh?

You horrible pig B******D!!Yes you are probabaly right. Given they pulled it back to 2-2 I feared the worst, but Duffy certainly punctured that breif bubble.
We were under the cosh for quite a bit though and this was one of CCV's first games, winning headers a plenty and just the occassional slip over. On balance, how can I not say it was one of our best games.
Am I pig or something? Tunstall Fred can we have a 'bacon alert' check on my recent postings please?
but how many more runs does Billy need to be shown that he's probably not up to scratch in the modern championship?
...he didn't have a good game. if he didn't get that penalty then it would've been a dire performance overall ...he didn't offer anything
i'm up for benching clarke for the time being, ever since being given the armband and the talks of going to villa in the early JTW - he's gone downhill. probably needs a reality check as he probably thinks he's first name on team sheet
Haha too right. Then again Basil Faulty didn’t think he was being obvious as long as the words were whispered.Where does it say that then?
'In the eye of the beholder' and all that......
I’m now anticipating that at the end of the season Sharp will reveal he was actually Clarke all along. Some Blades fans on Billy Sharp:
“Look, Lister, no point feeling sorry about Billy. It’s a kindness. Like a blind old incontinent sheepdog, he’s had his day. Take him out to the barn with a double-barreled shot-gun and blow the mother away. And I’m only saying that because I’m so fond of him.”
Annoys me that about the Wolves game. Despite the early sending off I still think we started much the better team and were playing really well. After all it was after Clarke got put through on goal one on one that Coady pulled him down.Wolves at home was only due to us having 10 men to be fair but I do agree, Brooks gives us the edge. He's the one who can offer us something different, come back into midfield to overload the midfield (would be even better now with Evans playing deeper I think) and then push up and support Clarke. Try telling that to Messi, Aguero et al.Not tall enough

Second half they really stepped on it though and missed a penalty. Great result, performance wasn't as good as some if you ask me.Annoys me that about the Wolves game. I know Brooks has had poor games when he has started but like any young player he needs time and perseverance, he’s our most talented attacker and I hope will get many more starts once fit again. He’s so much more than a good impact player which some of our fans pigeon hole him as.
Not much good to the gerritforrardanintboxquicker brigade that inhabit S2 4SUTry telling that to Messi, Aguero et al.![]()
Irrespective of your views on Clarke the player, the decision to award him the armband, is frankly bizarre.I like Clarke and I like Sharp so I'm not going to start a Clarke v Sharp debate in the manner of Wright v Stearman. but lets talk captaincy here, Goals aside which they both contribute in good numbers. If we go behind Sharp gets it, he rallies the team I don't see that from Clarke. personally think he should be brought back in and play alongside Clarke.
end of the day though Wilder hasn't got us this far by knowing fuck all. so ill go with his better judgement.

another run in the team of say over 5 games and he scores maybe 1 goal or maybe none... would people still rave about him?
A lot of people think he should be given another run... but how many more runs does Billy need to be shown that he's probably not up to scratch in the modern championship?
I'm curious as I believe Billy may have had enough chances however people think he deserves more. If so, then how many more?
again, penalty. apart from that he didn't have a good game. if he didn't get that penalty then it would've been a dire performance overall. but everyone only sees the goals side of things but not about how he actually plays. he didn't offer anything
Fleck should have dropped him, horrible bearded twat.like villa fans they are thinking Snograss has been deathly quiet , and all he did was score a goal, . wants dropping
You get a mega-like for the Red Dwarf quote sir. Some Blades fans on Billy Sharp:

Snodgrass walks into a bar and the barman says "Why the long face? Now fuck off, we don't serve horses in here..." Or summat like that.Fleck should have dropped him, horrible bearded twat.
