Cue the overreactions. We were well up for it in the second half and looked a class above them. Sloppy defending cost us together with a ref who gave them plenty and us nothing. I thought the idea was that referees stopped being so picky. This bloke obviously didn’t get the memo. Poor defending against a fairly bang average team who will get thumped by Burnley in midweek, it just wasn’t our day.

I’m really despondent about the result, but thought Berge worked hard. I’m not his biggest fan, however he tried to drive us forward in the second half but was guilty of not making the right decision when he got into the box.

The irony is the second half was much more like it from him in terms of graft and desire. I would have sold him in January too, however if the boy keeps applying himself like that he’ll win us more points than he’ll lose us.
