Bit like asking if you’d rather have Didzy or O’Connell. 2 different players who played in different positions.

Berge just wasn’t suited to the holding midfield role & when he was switched to be more of an attacking midfielder & run at defenders, he terrorised the opposition. The little stutter step before accelerating past a defender worked every single time & when we was on song, he was arguably our most effective attacker.

Vini Souza is the more gifted midfielder for me.

He can play the holding or attacking role.

He can carry the ball. He is a phenomenal ball-winner.

Great in the air

Loves a bit of a bit of a battle.

Great personality and team player.

I dont think hes back to full fitness either atm, hopefully the 75% Vina can get us a win in the P.O. final.

In this side, I am not sure where Berge fits in but definitely not for Souza.

A pairing of Souza and Berge would be great but he was never a player who appeared to be working hard which I would say is a key part of this team and the way they play (off the ball)

We can’t take Vini out of the side because of the way he wins the ball back and breaks up attacks. Sander can’t match that.

More relevant question would be Sander or Peck. But I think that’s easy, it’s Sander.

A more interesting question is the really hypothetical one: Arblaster or Sander, alongside Vini?
