I can’t tell you a game this season where I’ve thought Berge is outstandingly the best player on the pitch. We 1000% need a replacement though for balance.

I love Berge and I would like nothing more for him to fulfil his potential with us and become the player I think he can become.

However it's time to be objective and acknowledge that it isn't going to happen and the longer we wait for it to happen, the more his value drops.

We're not second in the league because of Berge and he only has a good game when we play well overall and unfortunately that is the definition of a luxury player.

Given the circumstances (embargo + need to fund 1 or two coming in) it's an absolute no brainer.

Absolutely GLTTL. Anyone seeing this as part of an implosion is a misery lover who gets excited every time we lose a point or a rival team buys a player we think makes them stronger.

I think he was our best player when we were playing our best football in August.
Dropped off alarmingly since then (obviously inc. unavailable period).

I'd have him behind Ndiaye, McBurnie, Norwood & Egan. Possibly Ahmedhodzic too.

Transfer business is part of existing as a football club, there will be provisions in the Heads of Terms and/or Share Purchase Agreement (depends how far along we are as to which is the governing document) to allow us to buy and seek players after consultation with the buyer.

The deal will likely have Berge on the books at his amortised value, if the the money we receive for him is higher than this amount then it’s an upside to the deal as it gives rise to a creditor for more than the asset was worth, creating additional assets for the business. In that case we are worth more by selling Berge than by keeping him.
