Which is a very good stat but I still think he's wankUnited have lost 5 league games and 1 league Cup game this season (6).
Sander Berge didn't start in 4 of those defeats... so 66% of the defeats are when he doesn't play.

stats are all well and good and do see the point your making but sander just isnt doing enough for the team just now and think a couple of games on the bench might actually have a positive effect on his attitude when he gets back in our starting 11United have lost 5 league games and 1 league Cup game this season (6).

It was just over £40m at the start of 21/22. £21.6m of that was due before the end of June 2022 so can probably be safely assumed to be settled; the other £18.5m was due after June 2022. Some of that would have been due in the summer and was paid (otherwise we'd not have signed Khadra), we probably owe between £10-15m now. I think we expected to sell Berge for £15m+ in the summer to cover the liabilities but that obviously didn't happen. How do we know that would clear the embargo?
Someone on here said our last accounts showed we owed £30m+ on purchased players, and we haven't sold anyone since![]()

My mistake, I took the full creditors balance for last year, even though I read that note underneath.£18.25m and £18.56m within/after one year.

Let's sell the first team player who when he plays 'accidentally' coincides with the best W/L record this season, in the process risking throwing 150 million away. I've heard it all now.
I find this ironic, because when we went 25 straight games when Berge played without winning between June 2020 and November 2021 - a period in which we won 18 games that he did not play in - some people insisted that this sequence was a fluke and nothing to do with Berge at all.
(FWIW I wouldn't sell either)
I have my doubts about Berge long term but this is a terrible time to be selling him on the assumption no one is coming in.I think our best results and performance this season coincided with him in the team. Particularly the August September period when we married both together. I can make arguments to sell but these would be purely financial. If you can flip Berge and get a better player on lower wages, on a long contract, it's a no brainer.
I don't really see a football argument - he's one of our better players. If anything we should be looking to tie him, Bogle, Ndiaye, Anel, RND, Mcburnie, Jebbo etc down, not advocating that they are sold.
One of the weirdest things people do on Twitter is pretending to be a journalist. It's hardly a glamorous profession.
Hence the comment "as long as he was replaced with someone half decent". It means that I don't particularly rate him that highly, and if we can get more dosh for him in this window then great. I'd rather keep him though if his replacement would inevitably be Osborn.Correct. If we sold him we wouldn't replace him. Careful what you wish for.
Any article that displays a sub headline "Berge has been United's best player this season" should be instantly disregarded.
Hecky said it, it’s referenced in that article.
No, that quote was taken from a Chris Wilder interview in November 2020. Not sure anyone had covered themselves in any glory by that point in the disastrous relegation season.Hecky said it, it’s referenced in that article.
