I think it's more to do with SAG closing the back of the kop a couple of years ago. Club has tried everything to get us to sit down (I'm in KB4) and we won't.
Next option, make it standing in the quickest and cheapest way possible.
I,m all for it but can understand fans in those seats who want to sit not being happy with the usual lack of communication.
Just as an example. Brentford have 29% of their stadium standing. The whole home end (5k) is standing.More supporters want this implemented than don't. I imagine more would want over a third to be standing as well. Whatever the reason for the implementation of safe standing, it's clearly something the majority of fans want.
You'll not be able to see if you sit down, so effectively they are making you stand up.Well I’m right above the letter S and I’ve paid for a seat this season so I shall be sitting come what may ( given the start to the season I don’t suppose I will be missing much), I know a lot of people around me (practically all of them actually) are not happy at this being foist upon them with zero consultation, so I’m guessing the atmosphere will be significantly worse rather than improved. UTB
The club hasn't consulted with supporters who sit in these seats at all. The standing area isn't behind the sitters - you would have to go about 4/5 rows further back to achieve this. If they'd done this, everyone would be happy. But the way they've gone about it shows zero respect for existing season ticket areas in those places. The fans advisory group involved in this decision making process is clearly just self serving. No consideration for consultation, access or inclusion as far as a I can see.We need to accomodate everyone. Places to stand, places to sit and disabled areas. Safe standing has to go somewhere and the best place is behind the sitters.
The impression I get is that the club IS consulting with supporters.

Load of Bollux. How many people actually voted for this? UTBFans voted whether they wanted standing or sitting and over 85% voted for standing. It's the standers that are getting ripped off here: we aren't getting 85+% turned to standing reflecting the outcome of the vote.

From the posted photo, it looks like the seats are in front of the standing area. Why won't you be able to use your seat?Correct, I’ve paid for a seat I won’t be able to useUTB
My seat is just inside ( 2 rows back) the standing area. UTBFrom the posted photo, it looks like the seats are in front of the standing area. Why won't you be able to use your seat?

I’m two in front of the area! Pleased as I get to sit when those in front do but hopefully get any improvement in atmosphere from behind me.My seat is just inside ( 2 rows back) the standing area. UTB
You can, if you are in the designated area where you must sit down. However, if you are in the safe standing area and wish to sit down ,then you are almost certainly not going to be able to, as someone will be stood up in front, blocking your view. They've not thought this through at all. I feel sorry for people who can't stand for a long time and those who just wish to sit. Its what they paid for. From the posted photo, it looks like the seats are in front of the standing area. Why won't you be able to use your seat?
I'm clearly being thick here, but why are there any seats in the standing area? Makes no sense. My seat is just inside ( 2 rows back) the standing area. UTB

Seats remain where they are. Basically a barrier in front of you and you are allowed to stand. Its not the traditional standing as we knew it. You'll still be in your usual position and can't move around the Kop.I'm clearly being thick here, but why are there any seats in the standing area? Makes no sense.
There are lots of grounds where fans stand all game, in fact Bramall Lane is probably the only ground in country where everyone sits all game.Seated stadiums are here and as you all know have been for some time.
This will never change.
If it did and some awful event happened with many injured the game would never live it down,
Seating is safer and easier to spot troublemakers, end of.
If ye want to stand up do it before or after the game or when the Blades score, but not too prematurely as us old dodgers cannot shift like we used to could. Thank you.![]()
