There will be no safe standing anywhere for the board, if no more players arrive!!!!!!
Why. What are you planning to do to them? There will be no safe standing anywhere for the board, if no more players arrive!!!!!!
No-one's saying it's now going to be a cracking atmosphere every game. But standing encourages singing and creates a better atmosphere. That's why the chants on the kop tend to come from those who currently stand. You don't need to stand or join in if you don't want to.I look forward to the "improved atmosphere"
I'll won't be holding my breath though.
I was a bit worried about Portsmouth at home in November but now hopefully this will be a cracking atmosphere.
No. It’s just a great way to upset a big section of the Kop. UTBThis is good news though I'm surprised it's as much as 3000, that's a huge chunk of the kop! Is there that much demand?
Type a strongly worded insultWhy. What are you planning to do to them?
I completely disagree. The last thing I want to do for 90 odd minutes is stand up consistently. I can't be arsed! I'm a passionate fan, I don't need to stand for 90 minutes to keep this up. Standing up and making noise isn't a direct correlation. This is so discrimatory to older fans, many of whom have had their seat towards the back of the kop for years.No-one's saying it's now going to be a cracking atmosphere every game. It's healthier to stand, move your body and get your blood circulating and exercise your vocal cords in the winter cold. Far better than sitting shivering in your seat, moaning about the lack of atmosphere. I get that standing isn't for everyone, but for me it's the best way to experience a game.
This is really good news. and the fan initiatives from last season are really welcome too. Things are definitely moving in the right direction from a supporter perspective. Hopefully they will look at the catering next.
As the article on the official website says "back of the Kop", I'm going to stick my neck out and say it is in the Kop, possibly towards the back of itDoes anyone know here this area actually is?
I'll swap you for my seat on Row MM. You can sit next to the 'know it all twat' I sit next to.I completely disagree. The last thing I want to do for 90 odd minutes is stand up consistently. Brilliant- thanks for thisAs the article on the official website says "back of the Kop", I'm going to stick my neck out and say it is in the Kop, possibly towards the back of it
Actually there is massive correlation between standing up and singing. I remember the 70’s and 80’s, it was virtually compulsory to sing when stood up in the Kop, where the South stand was always quiet, hardly any singing apart from little sections for big games.
Also there’s a historical correlation between standing and singing, probably explains why every church choir have been asked to stand up for centuries.
Older fans need to think about getting off the Kop and stop being selfish, let the youngsters enjoy the atmosphere like we used to do. Also think prices need to be much cheaper on the Kop compared to the seated areas. We need to do as much as we can to encourage the younger generation.
What? Oh my god, you really need to take a look at yourself. Throwing people out of seats they've sat in for years, with groups of people they've been friends with for years, because they're getting older? Sorry but I don't see an age limit on any of our stands. How ableist do you want to sound??Actually there is massive correlation between standing up and singing. The future prosperity of Sheff Utd is much more important than my personal seat and I’d be prepared to move seat if it improved the club.
(altho my season ticket isn’t exactly in a great position, near the front of the Kop) but I’d still be willing to make sacrifices to help the club.

Great, can't wait for a shit seat down the front of the Kop so some coked up little bellend can stand up and shout a bit.I'll swap you for my seat on Row MM. You can sit next to the 'know it all twat' I sit next to.
At 6'4" I'm more than happy to stand rather than contort myself into the crap leg room I have on the Kop.
I'd have thought that they'll be more than enough people gladly giving their seats up to move to the safe standing area to satisfy those that want or need to sit.

Prices much cheaper than now? Think things through please. Children yes.

I’m talking idealistically, think there should be an option for really cheap tickets…..maybe for under 25’s.
I’m sure I read a few year back that German football has tickets at 20 euros in the top flight….thats £16 for an adult ticket.
Sounds impressive but that’s only the cheapest standing areas behind the goal.
In the better seats there’s a big choice of £30 tickets, with some being £60 and £80.
So the very best seats were expensive but some people can easily afford those prices, it’s their choice….almost a kind of pay what you can.
Yes, that's why I wouldn't want to sit down there. I enjoy my seat near the back. Why would I want to give my seat up to someone else for standing?? I've sat there for years and also bought and paid for my season ticket - in that seatI’m down at the front and unless it’s a big match or we play brilliant attacking football it’s quite sedate…
Also not much leg room…you have to strategically place your knees at the outer edges of the seat in front.
The coked up lads should all be in the singing/ standing area letting off some energy…..I hope.
Appreciate there might be teething problems but it’s a step in the right direction to make as many people as happy as possible.
Does make me wonder if there’s much demand for standing and whether it will catch on and become fashionable again.
If you are forced to move, then hopefully they can find you a seat as close to the standing section as possible so you can still join in with it all.Yes, that's why I wouldn't want to sit down there. Row MM.. I imagine that row will still be seated.. but hard to be certain.I'll swap you for my seat on Row MM. You can sit next to the 'know it all twat' I sit next to.

It’ll probably be about 1/4 of the Kop (3k total, but also some on Bramall Lane within that), so plenty of choice to not stand if you don’t wish to.No. It’s just a great way to upset a big section of the Kop. UTB
