Sad for the 'True Blades'

It's fun watching people now contending they knew all along how badly run we were.
Are these the same people previously falling over themselves to find excuses for it all?
Shurely not. Jelly babies alround.

Actions speak louder than words len, though in your case there's only words and no action.

I'm not sure who you're referring to and I shouldn't feel paranoia, but you got mugged for a season longer than I did, having not renewed for this disastrous season. It may make me less of a Blade than many, but I couldn't stand it any longer, which indicates I'd sensed that all was not well.

At the time, I didn't feel the need to come on here and tell everyone who did renew what cretins they are, on a daily/hourly basis, but I have a bit more respect for others, as well as a life.

Or alternatively, attendances have broadly followed success on the pitch the past decade and effects of all the above are fairly moderate...

Loughs, you've been around long enough to know Len's Law, which is in two parts, as follows:-

Everything the club does is wrong. If it does something right, it's all thanks to len.

That's despite him having nothing to do with the club and refusing to engage in any kind of dialogue and is little short of miraculous.

Thing is Trig, I remember when the ideas for marketing the club were being put forward probably 10 years ago and remember well the usual guffaws from the usual suspects.
And tiresome though it is to have to remind people like yourself, those ideas were taken forward and helped increase our crowds.
I have hopes the club will this time take forward the Blades Card idea, indeed if it doesn't the club is even more imbecilic than is virtually humanly possible.
The odd thing is, it doesn't take great vision, great cleverness, most of it is pretty much common sense.
Even odder are those posters who are so negative about the club that they find it more important to criticise someone who is positive than deal with any reality.
I doubt you had much positive to add when the ideas about ticketing were being kicked around. But you do have time for posts like this.
Very odd.

It's not very odd at all len, it's very simple and I've explained it before, but as I know you're a big fan of repitition, I'll go through it again. I don't have the time to post often, I average about 10% of your output. I manage a few minutes occasionally, just to keep you in check. I don't have the kind of mind that would easily come up with inventive marketing strategies for a football club, so I don't try.

It was a beautiful weekend, far too nice to be cooped up in front of a PC churning out the same old stuff as you did. I find that very odd, but each to his own.

serious question len do you think we have finally caught up with our massive neighbours in the marketing stakes ?
i dont live in sheffield anymore so i would be grateful to hear if the club has finally listened to your suggestions of having back page advertising in the sheffield star as a way of enticing more fans back

Lenners,

Pardon my ignorance but what is the blades card you're touting? Isn't one already in place with the Blades fan/membership card?

Yes, I think he's refering to his idea to post one out to everyone who hasn't renewed.

You do realise that the club did and quite probably still do advertise in the Star?
