People talking shit on here just makes the manager's job so much harder.
Let new owners do what they will do.
Supporters job is to support the incumbent manager and the team he is trying to build with his f.. ING hands tied behind his back.
You're nuts if you're already criticising and calling for change. Utterly stupid in fact. Imo...

i actually thought qpr played some good stuff in that 2nd half after being abysmal for the first 30 minutes their manager must have ripped in to them at half time but the game should have been over by then moore should have put it to bed instead of dallying on the ball but i think weve a good chance of picking 3 points up at norwich dont think their owt special

The recruitment Chris has done this summer is nothing short of exceptional. Way way better than we all thought. 4 out of 6 points - good start in anybody's book-

Sack Wilder FFS - it's pathetic beyond belief. Everytime we don't win - this shit will come out- give it a break.

I think that was always going to be a problem when taking him back. There are plenty of people who can't wait for him to fail and will jump on his back as soon as the slightest thing goes wrong.

For what it's worth, I don't think we could have asked much more since the reset. His transfer dealings have been exceptional, especially when you look at the budget (which was always a negative number), and we're unbeaten in the first three games with two and a half very convincing performances.

think these pseudo pig fans coming on here dissing our boss need to feck off back to pork talk

we are unbeaten in pre season and the first 3 matches

but for the 2 point deduction, for something man city have done 128 times or so we would be 4th

I agree God help us when we lose , He has brought in some really good talent without having hardly any cash to spend ,what other manager could have done better ? Ok Saturday was not smart but it is a new team who need time to blend we are also playing a new system ,GIVE HIM A CHANCE. Have not heard any pigs crying out for their manager to be sacked after their result on Sunday .

It's best we just get used to there being a section of the fanbase too blinded by their past feelings on CW to see they're embarrassing themselves.

It is what it is. But it's toxic as fuck.

I'm not impressed we seem to be stuck on the same round about , I'm not saying they're bad players but the are the usual suspects. The Players who are off good league one standard, mediocre championship or failed premiership standard and are moulded into a team playing some version of Wilder ball. Its a formula that has had its day. We don't seem to know how to press consistently anymore. Rarely do we find a gem from abroad. I'll give him till October , but I have a feeling we need to change, who to is a different matter

tricky one '87

on one hand i agree, we need to get behind him which in the main we have

however i think its hard to dismiss the past, especially how it panned out

its like your other half cheating on you, you take her back, but everytime she goes out or comes in late you cant help but think............

any ill feeling towards CW sadly is of his own making

Not from abroad but the gem is.... Callum O Hare. The recruitment has been brilliant on a shoe string FFS let him bed it in..

You cant blame Wilder for the second half performance against QPR .they was a plan to beat them. but the players did not follow the plan. Stopped the press decided to stand off Gave QPR the space they needed .poor refereeing did not help us as well. far to early to make judgements yet.

I understand the beef with the negative way he left. It seems increasingly likely it'd just become untenable for him. Head had gone, blaming everybody else.

We didn't get cheated on, he didn't leave us for another club. He came back and was humble and contrite, which I think he needed to be.

I'd contest that in the main the knockers haven't "got behind him" at all. It's an axe that they can't let go, and to be honest that's where it starts getting embarrassing.

Threads like this rising back up, after a draw 2 games in when we are starting a pretty exciting project and new formation/team, which promises much (and which CW is driving), says everything right?

The manager has players sitting on the bench that come on for various reasons. One of them is if the starting 11 are not performing to the managers expectations, then he puts in a substitute. You play poor, you get pulled. Wilder did not and QPR grew into the game and were most likely to win it, until the dickhead got him self sent off. There is an old phrase that works in all works of life.."read the room." Top managers make changes that are needed at a certain time to great success. Wilder does not and
,yes, it could cost him his job. The fans that are upset because we've seen this story before and it didn't end well.

Agreed, if we’re mid table in November and losing 2-0 leads to mid table clubs then this thread should get bumped, yes it was disappointing Saturday, but he’s built a good 1st team and we’ve seen 3 half’s of football

He didn’t leave us for another club, worse! He bailed as couldn’t stick it out like Howe did at Bournemouth same season - that can’t be forgotten in the same way we shouldn’t forget he gave us 2 promotions and a 9th place finish in prem - no selective memory, both sides

Expectations and instructions.

Point of order though, how many posters on here have actually called for our manager to be sacked?

Make a judgement after ten games, by then the new players will have settled in maybe one or two more players might be signed. I think some of the players when we went 2-0 up thought were on for a 5-0 win. Like most fans did and for some reason eased off .Wilder will sort it i am sure.

Don't know. He won't be sacked anytime soon. But, he his doing the same things that got him walking last time. If I remember rightly the fan's biggest gripes were 1. Same formation didn't want to change and 2. Late substitutions when the game was lost. Granted we have a change in formation, there is hope for him. Now, the sub problem!! I want him to sort it out, I really do but as the great Yogi Berra said "it's like deja vous all over again"

His transfer dealings have been exceptional, but ultimately he will be judged on what he does with the players, not how good he is at getting them in. His primary job is to win matches, not to be head of recruitment.

god help him when we lose one , three matches in won 2 drawn 1 that's terrible .get him out 😒

Deary me, the fickle nature of some of our fans.
No doubt if we win the next game, he'll be hailed as the next messiah.
I'd LOL if we win from one of our subs scoring the winner. I don't think anyone ever agrees on what subs to make and when to make them. Easy of course in hindsight when you've just seen us squander a two goal lead. If they hadn't got the equaliser in the last two minutes, those same people would be saying he did the right thing by not making changes.
I think most realistic fans actually expected us to have a slow start to the season with the turnover of players and the time they've had to play together so I think most of us would have taken a win and a draw from the first two games.

The - 2 isn't great because I bet most would be happy with 4 points and 4th place from 2 games!

we would, the problem CW and the players have is self set expectations

We were so good at Preston and H1 QPR and hat happened H2?

I’m giving them the benefit of doubt that it was complacency and it’s a lesson learnt by young lads

I’d also have Souttar in from the off, fuckin mountain both ends of the pitch

Start of the summer, low expectations. Got some exciting signings in, high expectations. Might lose Gus and Ollie, low expectations. Win away, youngsters show we can win a "meani gless" cup game, high expectations. 1st half wow, still on the highwave. 2nd half...crash. I think it's called football. That's why we have a great forum to debate, argue, bitch about, wait for it.......football. The number one sport in the world for a reason.

But you wouldn't sack him now though, would you?

It's far too early to be reading much into the results, check our neighbours out, who thought after one game they were going to smash the league. The Preston game could turn out to be an outlier and we might not look that good again all season for all we know.

Don't get me wrong, I was annoyed after leaving the ground on Saturday, but you've got to put it in perspective.

I just hope he , Wilder, and the players do learn from this. Don't want Burnley and Sunderland to get too far ahead.

Perhaps I'm in the minority of one here, but I don't want us getting promoted, unless this takeover miraculously happens (I'm sceptical it will happen at all) and suddenly we've got gazillions of cash to spend on players.
I don't think I can take another season of being dry bummed every week.

However, this is Sheffield Utd and that's not how we roll.
