Not about this season, but simply not good enough. Reason he’s never lasted long since us. Would take a chance on Schumacher

If Wilder had got it right then according to you he'd have hooked O'Hare at HT
He let him come out second half see if he was any better than dragged him.

Your the one who decided that it was HT that subs need to be made for some reason.

What a load of bollocks 🙄, don't worry I've sent you tenner pants for men 40 pack, should be with you tomorrow via amazon. Can't believe you are moaning by getting a point at Norwich away.
Don't remember saying a draw at Norwich is a bad result. Only that Wilder's management of the game was poor. Feel free to disagree with my opinion if you like, but I'd suggest it's you that needs to be putting those skivvies on.

Just reading a small criticism of CW seems to have fully gotten your knickers in a twist, although that might help to wring out the piss.

I mean there is optimism and then there is optimism. I have never seen anything in Osula to suggest that he would get 20+ goals in this team.
Unless you mean in this team in League 2, or in this team over 5 years.
All about opinions mind.
Yet someone at Newcastle had the opinion he was worth £15m....

Like you say, all about opinions!

Feel free to come back at me once (or if) he has proven his worth. I genuinely hope for him that he does. 8 in 52 suggests otherwise.
But I suppose he scored against Everton on his debut and a couple against Gillingham in the cup.

It was Jebbison who scored against Everton but guess for some, it's easy to conflate the narratives over those two ....

I’m quite liking the new relaxed Wilder. Maybe we should take a leaf out of his book?

At the end of the day he’s had 4 excellent seasons and 2 terrible with us.

Happy to give him a crack again. Might work, might not.
Or, we could spend money hiring a better manager. Farke (same results as us to start the season with a more settled team), Rob Edwards (dreadful start to the season with a settled team), Scott Parker are all crap as well.

We should all sack our managers and hire blokes that will make us play better, ones with exemplary records that aren't stubborn.

It’s only 3 games in, too early to tell either way

I didn’t want Wilder back but the reaction after 3 games is way over the top imo.

We have a squad in transition, lots of players joined late in the window, a much younger and therefore less-experienced group and coming off the back of a horrific season last year.

It’s going to take time to get fully upto speed, the management team will be learning each game as to what works and what doesn't, also new players will become more confident the more games they have.

We knew we had a long-term re-build this season and I’m amazed that we have have the squad we have now, I thought it would take 2 or 3 windows to get anything like this in place so let’s have a bit of patience and give the team the support they need.

5 points from 9 including 2 away matches- the start has been good. The players Wilder and Knill have brought in are way way better than we all expected.

Sack Wilder get a fucking grip - the thread is embarrassing beyond belief. Delete it please.

This always happens, every season. We always start off like this. Can only remember the promotion season in 05/06 where we won basically every game.

We lost at QPR early on but get the point.

In the 100 point season we didn't win till 5th game did we?

Lost twice and drew once.

Even the much fabled start to 97/98 had a few draws at the start away at Wolves and Huddersfield.

Think we just look like a talented team that just lack the cohesion and fitness that usually comes from playing more games.

If Souttar goes for the ball and the man Trusty is the one to drop off to cover the run, basic defending, 100% Trusty at fault

Sorry to hijack but it’s both at fault. Souttar decides to run at the ball player even though there’s a bit distance to cover. The ball player sees this space and plays the ball into it. Trusty is slow to cover that space and not tracked Sargent, so there’s now more space and a pacy striker with the ball one on one.

I take nothing away from the game though as we were the better side I thought and Norwich seemed the better countering team. They were clinical and we seemed nervy in front of goal, that’s the only difference. Balls in to the box with Souttar and Moore will be more effective, but it’s still early days.

O’Hare and Hamer were pretty ineffective, which in turn reduces Moore’s input. Burrows did well for me with no support from Hamer, and Gilchrist / Brooks down the right was very effective. Everyone else did as expected.

I disagree with that. It was Souttars error on not getting to the ball and dealing with it and it fell perfectly to Sarjeant who slotted home.

I thought Trusty was decent yesterday. I think last season destroyed his confidence but he seemed to be growing in confidence yesterday

I think he will be the player who has a great season and will be first choice at the back at the end of it

Why do certain fans go on about giving Sir Chris the Sack. The Transfer window shuts next Friday. He has bought some great players in and might be on or two more. Plenty of clubs are after out best young players. But i hope we can keep the all. Only played 3 games no defeats. Give Sir Chris up to Christmas at least. As he say we are getting better week by week Give him a chance.

Ok…it also doesn’t scream 20+ goals a season either. Not surprised we bit Newcastle’s hand off for £15 mil.
What strikers are having 20+ goal seasons at his age? What his performances for us suggest is a player with bags of potential.

Exactly. And exactly why he wouldn’t get 20+ for us this season.
We aren’t in a position to turn down £15 mill for ‘potential’.

Different position but Arblaster came in with ‘potential’ and immediately lived up to it.

I get the whole potential thing for Osula and to a lesser extent Jebbo, but to suggest he would get 20+ for us this season is (based on what I have seen) ludicrous.

Tbh I missed the part of the conversation where it was suggested he'd score 20 for us this season 😂 should've gone back a couple more posts. A good season for him would've been 20 starts, 15 sub appearances and 5-7 goals. Then you'd be looking for him to be a starter at Championship level next season (either with us or someone else) and have his break out year.

I think he's worth what Newcastle paid but it's potential. Looks like we probably agree!
