Sack Wilder

Every time we draw or god forbid lose its always been the same on here , either wrong team selected ,wrong subs
used or badly timed subs . when we have been winning in the past and made a sub or two and ended up drawing
you can guarantee some clown will pop up with the why change it remark -- hindsight eh.... utb
If the fans were only in charge of this club, they'd make the blindly obvious subs nice and early, only play players in their correct positions with no square pegs in round holes, have the players properly motivated for every game and only start those with the right mentality, only sign players that don't get injured, and we'd win every single game.

Yes if we swap QPR and Preston around, ok
I said some will counter the others. You won't win every home game. You won't draw every away game but if you average thar out over a season you will be automatically promoted.

Trusty is the best left centre back (in a four) at the club. He had an excellent game today.

Fitness looks a significant issue for some. Hamer and Moore look miles away but will improve. Gilchrist was cramping and Campbell is a long way away yet. Jesurun is also a long way away from starting. I think we'll improve with games, fitness and more cohesion.
Good to hear Trusty did ok.
I've only seen the highlights but I blame Souttar more than Trusty for their goal.
Souttar was right behind their scorer and couldn't turn quickly enough , then didn't even bother to chase back.
Trusty at least tried to catch him.

Won 1 drawn 2 will take that from a new team .Again good first half second dropped off but still had chances to put it to bed

Agree on Brewster. I'd have brought him on at 60-70 minutes. Maybe it's a deliberate fitness exercise to give Moore more ninutes.
Team & result is more important than Moore's minutes , so when he's ineffective he's gotta be hooked.
Another example of stubborn thinking by Wilder who seems to have got it into his head that only Moore can lead the line.
I know that other strikers are a bit shorter but at least try them !

I wanted him to stay to do the rebuild and while he's done a decent job of it, it's still missing key ingredients and just doesn't look like a 'Wilder' squad to me. We don't have leaders. With that in mind, as well as his in game decisions which don't look like improving, my gut feeling is that he won't last beyond November
Can't comment on his departure but your observations re leaders and in-game inertia / decisions are correct.
The trouble is , I doubt the Prince has a clue about these shortcomings so Wilder will survive longer than is good for the club.

It speaks volumes about what the management team think of Brewster that he was overlooked for 3 possible substitutions today (Slimane, JSR and Campbell) and we persisted with the one dimensional tactic of Moore on his own instead of bringing him off for Brewster.
An isolated misfiring Moore is just a waste of time.
And even when it's obviously failing , Wilder persists.
Also I don't quite get what O'Hare is supposed to be doing.
There is something not quite right about our attack.

Jock Dodds
Did he ever plant one into the top corner from 30 yards that bounced off of the stanchion, only for the ref to say it hit the post?

One of my fav players growing up was Glenn, Glynn topped him though.

Absolutely. Confuses me that we've set up this season to play nippy energetic football, yet have a big lump at CF... You'd think this system is set up for a Brewster-type player. The fact Wilder isn't even bringing him on when Moore looks exhausted tells you all you need to know.

At the risk of sounding like a broken record, Osula in this team gets us 20+ goals....
Some good players recruited but they don't all complement each other or the system , whatever that might be.

I don't really know what O'Hare's position is but there isn't much of a partnership between him & Moore
In the ten, I don't think it's him, more Moore who is used to playing with another striker. Big Keef is a bit isolated and hasn't adopted to this system yet.

Dats tru dat

So we have an ongoing thread wanting the manager sacked.
Yet other football supporters say.

“Utd have some decent players and are far more settled than we are”

” Sheffield looked decent in attack”

“Held our own against a very good Sheffield United”

“I don’t think we’ll play many teams as good as Sheff Utd.”

“The blades are well ahead of us in terms of preparation for this season and have a stronger squad”

But what do other football fans know.

Not been able to watch the full game today, so correct me if needed but I saw a glimpse of a partnership against Wrexham with Souttar and trusty
As for wilder doesn't he only have a contract till the end of the season ?
I think the new owners will replace him with a coach ( wonder if pocch fancies a project 🤣🤣)

It was Souttar closest to their scorer and Souttar who didn't move a muscle - Souttar was left for dead
If Souttar goes for the ball and the man Trusty is the one to drop off to cover the run, basic defending, 100% Trusty at fault

I'd understand more if he didn't have options on the bench, last season he had hardly any to call on. This season he has now got options to change things up and isn't doing it or doing it yet.
That is the trouble with CW as we saw in the later stages of the second season that we were under Wilder first time around his stubbornness was a big factor in us being relegated.

He doesn't appear to have learned much from what I have seen so far.

I'd say results and performances over the season are more important than the result and performance vs Norwich. We can't really put him through a pre season and he's unlikely to play Tuesday as we desperately need him on Sunday so this is the one chance you have to get minutes in his legs (overplaying him). The hope is he has a bit more in him for Sunday now - if that's the strategy. Our plan to get a fit team/squad ready for the first game ended when our squad was still decimated with a few weeks of preseason left. Now it's about picking the less shit options to reach this goal asap. I think there's a few players in this position. Moore looks miles off full fitness to me.

I don't know whether we're in a worse state than other clubs but starting a season with unfit players is pretty unprofessional (on the part of the players) when you think of all the sports science that goes into football these days.
I hope that Moore isn't looking at us as a kind of easy ride into retirement.

Wilder has lost his bollocks, his subs are as bad as heckys. I can't see our new American overlords affording him much sympathy.
