24 year old left back/lcm from QPR, 5 goals and 7 assists in all comps last season at a mid table side, created the most chances from a defender in the championship last season, 29 chances more than Matty Cash on the opposite side, year older than Antonee Robinson, he only has a year left on his current deal and would add to the Irish contingent. Also was at Rotherham season before last

Saw the start about chance creation yesteray and was surprised and impressed. Can't say I've ever seen the bloke play, but looks to be in the mould of current recruitment targets

Gerrimin!

My mate's a QPR fan and says he's their 2nd best player (behind Eze). Think he'd be a very good backup for Enda.

At this rate Wilder may as well run the Irish team too.

Thought the same also, but wonder if the reason we went for Robinson was because it was just too good a deal to not go for. Manning could cost a lot in transfer fee, but wages would be achievable - the opposite of the Robinson deal!

I'm not so sure Enda can't be left as first choice LWB he's had a cracking season and then there's RND coming through also and Osborn as back-up. Its the RWB spot that needs more competition I think, especially as we've released K Freeman.

Not a bad shout, think he won their player of the year. Enda looks like he’s off so makes sense.

If we have no cash, surely this is then type we could run with.

Still time to improve. Hardly going to be inundated with offers for many clubs in a better spot than us either I don’t think.

I’d be looking at a lot of free agents for the summer of potential loan and loan to buys.

It would be nice to get a midfield we could reply on for a few years. Only just mentioned him on FallowfieldBlade thread but Grimes had always looked decent.

If you went for out of contract defenders, Manning, perhaps loaned in a striker or auxiliary forward and spent your cash on say Grimes and Doyle. I think they would future proof you quite well.

We’ve been lacking a Fleck replacement and Grimes and Doyle could almost be the second coming of Fleck and Norwood.

Made it into a few 'team of the seasons'. Hecky should be all over it like a rash.

I have a sneaky feeling we might be in for this lad. No in the know here but would be an easy sell to the prince. Free transfer etc.

I'd say this is a no-brainer, but a sneaky part of my brain thinks we may intend to go into the new season with RND and Lowe as our two LWB options. I'd not be averse to RND moving into the middle as he looked good there a couple of times last season. Then Lowe as very much backup.

If we're intending to have Lowe starting more than 10 games then we must be hoping for relegation
agreed lowe can only be back up at best to rnd wouldnt suprise me if a championship club came in for him and we sold

If we want him need to get McB on the job.

Having said that hasn’t the Swansea manager gone to Southampton? If so wouldn’t be surprised to see him there

I’d take manning all day

I’d even sell Lowe if RND is going to be fit

Lowe isn’t prem quality and we don’t need three left backs 🤷‍♂️

One I’ve mentioned in a couple of conversations. Good player, really like him and can play 2 or 3 positions down that left side a la Osborn. If he’s available on a free we should definitely have a word.

He'll end up following Russell Martin to Southampton.
To the Championship with no guarantee of Premier league football in the next couple of seasons? Not sure about that. Leeds interested too, but same issue there.

I would want us to bring a LWB in as a priority. But I do have a sneaky feeling that sneaky part of your brain could be right, about what Hecky is planning.

Signings will start to flow soon. We might not but other teams certainly will. (Going on how ridiculously slow we have been recent windows).
But this is deffo a fella we should be looking at.

Free transfer and would think fills that LWB slot nicely. Competition for Lowe and RND if fit. Although the latter I think should pursue LCB more.

Leeds apparently interest but as said above, could see him going to Southampton.

With all due respect the transfer window doesn't even open till tomorrow so always guna be difficult to sign anyone.

We'll be slow because we'll have to negotiate every minor detail of the transfer to save that extra quid here or there.
