It only makes sense to me if we sell for top dollar, or we get in a player or two plus a reduced transfer fee from the buying club which will help us in the here and now. If someone wants him it should only happen if thre deal is weighted heavily in our favour.

Keep hold of one and sell one of our under performers that draws a good wage. The new owners will want results hanging on to players that we hang onto until they can't walk will make no sense to them. Just look at sports in North America they are not soft but ruthless.

Selling more of our young talent to pay for the likes of Cannon's fee and wages would be a strange decision.
We do need to develop and sell as part of a sensible strategy but we've already got £10m for Osula and given the level of interest in One he is likely to be a better player.
Selling now when he could be worth significantly more in future doesn't make sense.
Problem is when a PL club comes in (Lankshire and Osula) and offer big money wages they don’t want to stay here, fact.

I know but there has to be a balance to the club's strategy including making United an attractive place to develop.
We should be on a par with Ipswich when it comes to developing young talent, not selling to them.
If it's £20m from Liverpool then they'd have to take it but selling One for a fee similar to Cannon would seem like very poor business.

If new owners were in charge during summer , would you rather of kept osula or signed cannon .... Similar ages , similar fees .... I think Ryan one though is a season or two behind both .... A loan to promotion chasing league 1 r 2 side would be best ... Maybe under Billy's wing at Donny

Who says we are looking to sell him? Under the Prince we would have sold him to cover running costs and maybe a loan or two but we have new ownership.
Absolutely no one here knows their financial situation other than we have spent more on a player in this window than we have since the first season back in the Premier League.
That doesn’t point towards them needing the money from the sale of One or any of our other players to fund us going forward.

Don't know our strategy re One but no new money has come into the club, just a change of ownership.

Has he even started a league game for us? Where are people getting some of these potential transfer fees from 😅

Probably from his goal he scored against Bristol City, and the few games he’s started for us.

His physical profile, and undoubted talent also plays into it too.

Who knows, he could be the next Kone…😜

He has a long way to go but as someone else said he has all the physical attributes and a “type” that we do not have.

We realistically have 3 ways to play it my preference is option 1.

1) Keep him at the club, get him used to training around the first team and on the bench for games where possible
2) Loan him out - Downside he could get an injury which would set him back, he could do terrible because the club isn't the right fit and knock his confidence, remember he still is only 18
3) Sell - Would only consider this if a decent up front fee plus add ons and possible loan move back in return or even a buy back clause.

If we let him out on loan he could get injured or bomb risking losing the market value he appears to have currently
