I take that point, but they don't have the quality in their squads.

Fight is important, but we have too many match winners. If our decision making in the final third is good we routinely beat these teams.
We have beaten these teams all season, but the equation changes when you get to the business end.

Every team we play, will be playing like it's a cup tie from now on. That wasn't occurring before. As we know, anything can happen in a cup tie

Time will tie, I'd push my chips towards Wilder though over Parker or Farke.

Exactly, we have something important to play for also.

So our "fight" should be just as great.

Then it comes down to quality of opponent which falls back in our favour.

Out run
Out fight
Out play

Yes but teams have ‘the threat of relegation’ because they’ve not been very good.

I don’t think any premier league teams last year were looking at us thinking we’d be a difficult game because we had the looming threat of relegation to spurs us on…
I posted this a couple of weeks ago but you can spin in any way you like and there would be a half truth to it. The clubs at the bottom are fighting for their lives and will be tough. The clubs at the top have proven themselves to be good over the course of the season and will be tough. The clubs in mid-table who are playing for nothing can be totally carefree and will be tough. The beauty of this league is that any team can genuinely take points off another on any given day. I love following along the predictions and forecasting but mostly I love this part of the season because it’s impossible to predict. That’s the only thing that gets proven over and over again in these threads.

Can you share a few of them, it would help me with my seemingly baseless negativity as I'm thinking we won't, but all the data I see suggests we will?
Leeds have best team/squad, scored far more goals. Burnley hardly ever conceed, let alone lose. We've taken nothing and scored one goal, against both teams. Can't see that changing when we go there soon. That enough? Obvs, I really hope I'm wrong, would love to be, just can't see it.

Extremely confident we win the next four, I accept you get some unexpected results at this time of season but I just don't see any other outcome. Yes we are playing teams at the bottom who are fighting but they are down the bottom of a bang average division for a reason, that reason being they aren't very good. I feel the same sense of momentum that we had at the back end of the League 1 winning season. We won't lose at Burnley either

Coventry is the first time since Boro that we've done all three, arguably against Wednesday. For most of the season we've been out run and out played.

I am hopeful but not saying confident as it's football and anything can happen.

Anyone saying this is exactly what's going to happen is tempting fate just like those Leeds fans chanting champions again a month back

What about those on here that said Leeds were gone after that game?

Thankfully Wilder and the team have more backbone.

Did a quick test of the fighting for their lives theory.

In Uniteds last 7 promotion seasons going back to 83/4, in their last 7 games in each season they played 15 times against teams that were either relegated or finished within 6 points of relegation. The record was.

P15 W13 D1 L1. The only ones we failed to win were the draw v Millwall in 2019 and a loss v Mansfield in 88-9.

So, it seems the theory doesn't hold much water..

You just know that Wilder and co will be taking it game by game and drilling that into the players. While I think we can probably go over the top in criticising bedwetting fans - myself included - and their views generally matter little. I do think in some cases it can spill over. Whether Leeds get promoted or not is an entirely different matter, but I am certain the ‘Leeds are falling apart’ narrative is not insignificant.

We’ve won more games than both, particularly against the level of teams we’ve all got left to play. They also draw nearly double the amount we have.
🤷‍♂️

We lost at Huddersfield in the penultimate game of the 2022-23 season.

Huddersfield finished 18th but they would have been within 6 points of relegation if Reading hadn't been deducted 6 points.

There was nothing to play for though because we were already promoted.

I think we will get 99 points. Lose against Burnley and a draw thrown in there (Millwall at home maybe).

And we win games. Thats our superpower and if we continue to do so we will go up.

I don't really care who has what run in. It's irrelevant. Everyone plays the same teams twice over the course of the season.
So for arguments sake, let's say Bristol City and Middlesbrough are both on the same points with 4 games left to play for the last play off spot

Bristol City have to play:
United, Leeds, Burnley and Sunderland

Boro have to play:
Plymouth, Luton, Cardiff and Hull

Are you saying that Bristol City shouldn't be concerned about their run in?
