Wish I'd wrote this yesterday when I was sober. Anyway brilliant to be back in action with the short trip to Rotherham. Obviously a dead easy game as they are crap at home etc etc. Joking apart, this is a difficult test for us and I expect a very difficult mid afternoon, one I hope we can negotiate......

Anyway...

Any team news? :)

Unchanged from last time out?

Is Egan ok? Lol, I mean not Carrying a knock?

Dunno what to add. Still pissed from last night. Hopefully we are going back to the top of the league. My daughter Siobhan deserves it. She already loves United despite never seeing us live yet. Mind she's only 13 months. Born a blade, I'll have to apologise to her one day. 3-1 blades today.

Safe journey all.

Be loud, be proud.

Got to win today
If we lose we'll probably finish the day in 7th place
The problem is it will have an all too familiar 'last season' feel to it

It will be very tough against a team that will be fired up big time

Up against a side who aren't particularly bothered about having much of the ball but who are very fit and organised.

I fear it could be more of the same. 70% possession for us whilst having very few efforts on goal. We then lose shape and fluency when the substitutions are made and find ourselves increasingly on the back foot in the last 15 minutes. Goalless or a 0-1 defeat.

This will be a very difficult encounter against a well organised determined outfit. We really need to convert our possession into goals.
I really hope we field our strongest 11 as we really have fuck all after them. Coutts is still a way off and the rest aren't worth the effort to type their names.

Agree with this, win is needed to stop the repeat slide of last season beginning.

Will be tough though, currently Rotherham are better than the pigs.

If we don’t win this I will downgrade my expectations to a top half finish however if we win I’ll be back torturing
myself with dreams of glory and scrutinising the table again.....

I nailed my colours to the mast on this after the Pigs match, saying we would win handsomely today and I am sticking to it.

And before anyone jumps on me [like they did before] about being porcine in my comments please recognise the difference. This is not about 'we should beat these because of who we are' or 'we clearly have better players than these'. No, it's about looking at the two teams and recognising that we are one of the outstanding teams in the division, pushing for promotion and who play fantastic football. The Millers on the other hand are doing well, rather well actually but make no mistake about it they would still bite your hand off for 21st place. They will make it difficult and cause us some problems but if we turn up and do our thing I can see us opening them up.

They are in slightly better form than us, so considering form supposedly goes out of the window on these occasions then that also works in our favour.

1-3 Blades. Sharp, McG and JOC to score.

Got a ring of dreaded truth about this post, unfortunately.

My thoughts exactly that mate. I've predicted 4-1 to the Blades.

Team news should be out soon. Can't wait to see if my inkling that Lundstram and possibly Washington will feature! ;) Then I can be "ITK", I so much want to be that, or at least recognised for being a good guesser!

Unchanged.

3 pints for you today and no that is not a typo :p

I understand Lunny is involved today, he drove the team bus, you were right Cerberus, sorry I doubted you

Or just none of the above ;)

Can't see us keeping a clean sheet so another 3 goals for us will be needed

Nice fast robust start by Rovrum but Duffy strikes, great feet & composure.

Something’s got to give here. We aren’t playing well at all, but I think that’s mostly down to Rotherham’s workrate. Either they won’t be able to keep that up or an equaliser is coming. Lovely calm finish by Duffy for the goal.

Too scrappy, United can't get the ball down, too much head tennis which we can't win
