No way Brentford will sell one of their better players at this late stage of the window to a divisional rival - unless its for money we won't be able to afford anyway.

That's the problem with us having to leave it this late because we haven't got the money to thrust through a deal easily its a game of cat and mouse which can end up in us getting no one.

If we were after League One players the'd be in already because we can afford those deals but Wilder only seems to want PL and Championship players, which I get, but I still think there's the odd gem in League One.

As i remember Brentford did exactly that to Birmingham last season when Rosie's dad was in charge.

Same applies for Ryan Woods and Luke Freeman.

The Brentford captain could be a decent signing next season and could be competitive in that no. 10 role. He's a well established player who has proven himself at Championship level. Probably has a bit of Striker in him as well if trained well

I'm a big fan of Sawyers, I'm not sure how consistent he is but he is capable of some sublime moments of skill and vision and would definetly upgrade our midfield.

There’s a few from Brentford I’d like us to have a look at; Ezri Konsa, Jay Dasilva, Romaine Sawyers, Neal Maupay, Said Benrahma, Sergi Canos... all very good players who I think could make the step up.

They really underachieved this season.

Benrahama is talked of in terms of £15mil, not a penny less, so probably not destined for the Blades, sadly I should add. Now Sawyers might be affordable.

Isn't Freeman 27 as well? Sawyers is entering the final year of his contract so would in all likelihood be cheaper in terms of fee. Wages I would imagine would be similar.

I’ve clearly misread a simple search when I looked! You are correct in all, even though I seem to personally rate Freeman higher than Sawyers just in terms of direct running, it’s making economic sense when like that.
