In all seriousness, our last pre-season under Robson started 2 weeks later than most. We appeared very unfit when starting the new campaign, and our poor fitness levels were mentioning by Mowbray when he took over.

He did take us to Portugal in his first pre-season, as he believed playing football in their environment would help us develop the type of football we needed to play in the Premiership. Sadly, it didn't really work for us.

The next season our Pre-season friendly list was as follows:

Kidderminster Harriers
Walsall
Bristol Rovers

Kilmarnock (Scotland Tour)
Motherwell (Scotland Tour)
Dunfermline (Scotland Tour)

Real Sociedad




So make of that what you may. Robson tends to take a relaxed attitude with the players, and tends to be "1 of the lads" rather than take a step back and distance himself.

I like the sound of that, I LIVE in Tadcaster. And incidentally, they're called Tadcaster Albion. :)

well theres one confirmed already...

ALFRETON Town's players face an early start to preparations for the 2007/08 season.
New manager Nicky Law is starting his squad's pre-season training on Tuesday, June 19, a good fortnight earlier than usual.
It is a plan which will hopefully reap benefits fitness wise and ensure Law's squad are sharp enough to take on Sheffield United in Alfreton's first pre-season friendly on Tuesday, July 17, the fixture has been confirmed between the clubs this week and thanks go to United chairman Terry Robinson for his cooperation.
 
Forest will play a pre-season friendly against the blades at Bramall Lane on Saturday 4 August.

The match will kick-off at 3pm.
