Robinson

Regardless of this season's outcome, recruitment at CB needs to be priority number 1, 2, and potentially 3 as well.

Anel can be a solid defender, as long as he has someone alongside him to give him confidence. JLT absolutely is not that guy.

We can "olé olé" him as much as we want, but Robinson is not a viable option for a team challenging at the top of the Championship or higher. He struggles with so many basics of defending, it is terrifying.

  • Panics under pressure, to the point where he will have to boot the ball away to avoid giving it away in a dangerous area;
  • Lapses in judgement/decision-making which result in making major mistakes, often ending up in opponents scoring (or coming very close to doing so);
  • Generally poor passer of the ball. Even on passes he does complete, they are often not very accurate, especially at medium-range. One of note last night when he passed to Clarke on the right, and Clarke had to backtrack 5-10 yards to collect the ball.

When Holding is up to speed, I'd like to see him come in. Experienced at the top level with Arsenal and Palace, pretty comfortable with the ball at his feet, far less prone to drastic mistakes.

He seems a decent bloke, but I find myself feeling extra stress from him being on the pitch. Just general anxiety of "is he going to make a massive rick today or not?". Absolutely not sustainable. I'd let him go in the summer, and recruit aggressively to replace him.

Robinson with one aerial duel won (Rak-S had three!), one tackle, and a very low pass completion rate, as well as the dodgy penalty, had a game to forget. Holding must be ready for a run, or even Gilchrist.

That's crazy when you break it down like that.
Cannon and Robbo out of the team for Luton and we should be firing on all cylinders

There was an attack last night, just before they scored, where they attacked from their left. JLT was the closest defender and he backed off, without getting close or restricting the angle and continued to back off into the penalty area. In the end their guy had a shot which Cooper saved. They should have scored. It was really terrible defending for someone at this level. Anel does it as well so not just Robinson

I wonder whether the defining moment of Robinson's career with us will be City's second in the FA Cup semi final when he backed off Riyad Mahrez from the centre circle all the way to our area.

Why does he throw someone over his shoulder every game? He really needs anger management help because he should have been sent off tonight. He slammed Knight to the ground and then went at him again causing that skirmish we'll no doubt get fined for.
He's got problems

Because “pashun”.

Get rid of him.

Robbo is a reyt laugh.
I remember once rolling around floor laughing my mind off, and he hadn't even done anything!

I keep expecting him to do a clothesline, jump from the crossbar onto their striker or smash a table over someone’s head.

My heart nearly falls out my arse every time he’s given the ball. Absolute bomb scare. Only valuable for his throw-ins and the odd clattering challenge

I don't care if he's good or bad, the captain of the club shouldn't be losing his temper and body slamming other players. That's not the first time he's lost it like that and probably won't be the last. He may be a great captain in the lockers but that's not captain material on the pitch

my favorite goal by warrior robbo was when we won clarets 5.2 at home year we went up he didnt cost much dosh was it 3 million from forest bargain and he trys his best he will never be a JOC but what he does best .<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>....he has mistakes in him everyone does,,,but hes a class capitanoooooooooooooooooooo i respectooooooooooooooooooooooo a class act no 5 robbo >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>... a blade that doesnt hide ,chow.

I said last night to my mate, that he's almost become our new Ryan Flynn, in that we all know he's never been good enough but somehow managed to play over 130 games for us. Even if we don't go up, I think we need an upgrade in that position.

I'm assuming Wilder is quite happy for our captain to do this since he's been doing it off and on all season.

Only a matter of time until he causes a penalty with his reckless style of defending. He doesn't even try to be careful when challenging a player in the box. Especially the shirt-pulling he does every corner. It's a minor miracle there hasn't been given a penalty for that yet.
