Look forward to being told his career is over by the fannies when he gets an inevitable strain or pull

Well according to Wilder some on here were right to be a bit concerned:

"An awful lot of credit must go to the medical department and more importantly the boy because it was a pretty serious injury and one where there was real concern for Rhys' future."

[Groucho Blade]

Might need to get match practice in the first team…

Coming on as sub? Or starting and then getting subbed?

I was talking about the next time he gets a pull or strain

[3Cheers4Ramirez]

Loan him to Port Vale.....

[Ndiayewillalwaysloveyou]

Gillingham or not the class and quality is still there from Rhys!

Not lost his pace either

[GreenhillBladeinToronto]

Yep, only Gillingham but looked very calm and assured. Hasn’t lost that sweet left foot either.

[metalblade]

Did all the basics and did them well great to see him back.

He tired at the end but I thought he played very well. Defensively very good and as you said still got a turn of pace.

I think it was clever Wilder playing him CB so he wasn’t bombing up and down all game which would have been testing first game back.

[Ndiayewillalwaysloveyou]

Also surprised he managed 86 minutes! Should be looking to start vs West Ham in 15 days!

[Bladezz]

So glad he’s back!

[Slim Man]

Played well, was really impressed considering how long he’s been out

[Wards]

Fair play to him yesterday, I've never seen him play as a centre back in a 4 but he coped easily despite the long lay off.

Great to have him back.

[Ndiayewillalwaysloveyou]

Nice to see him in the thick of training. Guessing it's just match fitness he's behind on? Not seen much mentioned.

[Ndiayewillalwaysloveyou]

Was on the bench but didn't see him warm up touchline like the rest? Either injured or embarrassed from Swansea lol

Right. Can we admit he's done now?

I liked him. That was a long time ago. He's done now. Fucked.

Yeah, sadly he is finished at this level. Its a real shame because before his injuries he looked a prospect.

But that was one of the worst individual performances I have ever seen.

Fotmob have his match rating as 3.8. Stand out stats include:

Clearances = 0
Tackles won = 0
Interceptions = 0
Defensive actions = 0

To put that 3.8 rating into perspective, when we lost 8-0 to Newcastle our lowest rated defender was Jack Robinson with a 4.8 rating.

[b1ade4life]

Can we fuck him off to Wrexham??

[Ndiayewillalwaysloveyou]

Hope he's still alive and doing well

I wonder if QPR are looking to buy him?

[Red Wing Blade]

Has he been spotted in any of the pre-season videos?

[Champagneblade]

Maybe he’s still at QPR and the club forgot to tell him to come back!

[Ron_Justice]

Weird one. Still under contract, not seen him in any pre-season footage and no presence on the official site (same a Oné there).

Contracted until 2027:

Long-term deal for Rhys

Wales international Rhys Norrington-Davies has agreed terms on an improved, long-term contract at Bramall Lane.

My only thought is that we’ve accepted an offer (or triggered an obligation from his loan) and he’s with his new club agreeing terms.

Or he’s injured again
