He was headhunted from one PL club to another bigger one in the summer. We certainly couldn’t afford him.Ask him if he’s any good, if he is then ask him if he’s considered a career at Sheffield United.

Well, you spouted that “we are a farce managing players’ fitness and wellbeing.”I haven’t tried to “spout” anything. I don’t pretend to know the goings on at all, but I can’t recall in recent history under any manager and medical team where we’ve struggled so badly to get players back, or to even determine a return to training. It could well be just incredibly bad luck.

That’s based on an absence of knowledge, but I, also, have no knowledge on the subject. So I’m going to ask an expert, being in the fortunate position of being able to do so.
I’m sure whatever he’s paid is less than the wages we’ve had laying on the treatment table for the last few years. He was headhunted from one PL club to another bigger one in the summer. We certainly couldn’t afford him.
I would be interested to hear his response. I certainly can’t recall anyone else being out for 12 months with a hamstring injury before. In the relegation season, Berge was injured against MU before Christmas with what was described at the time as a very serious hamstring injury which required surgery. From memory he was out for 3 or 4 months.Well, you spouted that “we are a farce managing players’ fitness and wellbeing.”

Think your confusing physio and director of footballCan you ask him in his position if he would have agreed to sign a player on a 3 year deal who wasn't fit when we signed him?
Or if he would give 20-30k a week to re sign two players who had previous injury plagued careers?
Or if he's ever known a scenario where a professional footballer should pick up a long term injury from kicking a sprinkler?
Oh and you could ask what the expected recovery time is for someone who picks up and "knock" and why would players at our club take longer?
And would he as club head physio authorise and international within the club go and play for his country if he was clearly not fit?
That's a few for you to ask and put the "non experts" on heres mind at rest.
I said “it seems” that way, and have offered the alternative that it could well be down to outrageously bad luck. Notice McBurnie’s limped off just now.Well, you spouted that “we are a farce managing players’ fitness and wellbeing.”

I would even play for the pigs on that wageGive me 4k a week for playing football not a problem
It was more like 11 months. He did get back in the team until November 2021I would be interested to hear his response. It beggars belief that we have 2 first team players who’ve been out for 12 months. Bear in mind that Brewster was out for 6 months with a hamstring injury the season before last as well.
Either we were not being told the true picture (which lets face it would not be a huge surprise), by some freak coincidence RND and Brewster were unfortunate enough to have two of the worst hamstring injuries known at the same time, or their rehab has not been handled adequately.
It seems reasonable enough that the medical staff are being put under the spotlight. We can’t afford for this to go on. The training pitch can’t be blamed anymore and that seemed a bit far fetched to me anyway. Was it really that bad? Surely a lot better than most lower league teams who seemed to cope better.
Did he tell you anything interesting?Neither of us has any idea whether that is actually the case or not.
I’m currently doing some work for the head of medical at a PL club & have a Teams meeting with him on Tuesday. I’m going to question him & will report back whatever I am able to on here. It will be interesting to get the views of a professional rather than the assumptions that get spouted by people who know nothing.
Anything you would like me to ask him?
I forgot about this, did I miss you posting the after events mate?Neither of us has any idea whether that is actually the case or not.
