Sorry to shatter your illusions, but from the first whistle to the last, there is no sport more dishonest than football.

There are times when you have to fight fire with fire and that was one of them 😉
 
It doesn't help that when we've played with two tens almost all the width has had to come from the two wingbacks, as neither of the tens run the channel or beyond the strikers into wide areas. If we persist in this system a lot of positional work needs to be done. All the width is having to come from the wing backs.Very tough on the wing backs; very tough on the lone striker who is isolated with nobody running beyond and stretching the defence.
 
Tries hard, gives his all, defensively 'ok', but no where near the attacking output we need from that position. Quite similar to Osborn really, although he does occasionally score goals.
 
Don’t rate him , he must shut his eyes when passing and shooting and he should have buried that one he took of Sharps toes last night

Are you not one of McBurnies biggest fans on here? You don’t rate a full back because he can’t pass, closes his eyes when shooting and should have scored, a fullback, your slagging a full back for that but not our star striker!!

He’s a full back 😂. Look at Baldock’s goals record.

And he set up 2 of our best opportunities with good cutting passes

It’s more his general distribution when he’s releasing the ball like hitting the first man or it just going anywhere … not so much missing the chance that I am getting at.
Enda would have scored !

Stevens wouldn't have been there, not nearly as athletic as he used to be. That's half the problem.
 



The left hand side was the outlet for us over and over again, particularly in the first half. Problem RND and JLT had was that when they had space to use and got near the box, panic mode set in and they didn't know what to do with them both by trade being bog standard full backs.

One thing Enda has in his armoury in terms of mentality is that he'll quite happily put his foot through it if the opportunity presents itself while RND didn't know what to do with himself other than put in a hopeful ball into the vicinity of the goalmouth.

That's why he's a full back and not a centre forward I suppose. Just like Gary Neville said, "no kid grows up wanting to be Gary Neville".

good shout. I've been a critic but he was good yesterday.

At his age, with that athletic ability I do think he might come good and have a good career
 
Some have been falling over themselves to put Osborn in over him. Do me a favour.
 
He doesn't convince me, especially going forward, but thought he was immense for the whole game today.
