He was at United I believe but got released before they took him on.and yes he's a big bldr and from Heeley

Didn't harm Carl Bradshaw.

It was good to see RH and Dukey come out to watch the celebrations. RH also brought his kids out of the away end on to the edge of the pitch and seemed to be explaining to them about it all.

I thought I saw a couple of Chesterfield players down there, but thought I must be mistaken as why would you put yourself through that when you had just been relegated. All is explained.

Just for the benefit of those in the ground yesterday with screwed up faces screaming Pig at him.

Definitely a blade. Used to play football with him on the Ann's Grove school field. He'd pop on for a kick about when he was playing for them.

I clapped him on and got yelled at by a woman behind me. I remember an interview he did in 'Shoot' or 'Match' magazine when I was a child (around 97).

He was playing for the pigs and asked if it was his dream to play for a club in his own city. I'm paraphrasing but he basically said 'No I'm from the other side of the city, my Dad nearly threw away my trial invitation'.

Always liked him from then on.

Definitely a Blade and a decent lad too. Applauded him when he went to the away end to bring his kids on

Must admit, didnt know he was a Blade. Thankfully, I kept my abuse to polite boo rather than an enthusiastic "pig".

I gave him dogs abuse, felt a right prick when he brought his kids on after the game :(
I feel a bigger dick now if he's a blade too.
If you're living in a house with loads of blokes I suggest you stop the above.

I gave a bit of a boo but it was just in jest, wanted to put him off launching the long throw into the box!
In the past I've heard RH mentioning several times he's a blade. So big respect to Richie Humphries, unlike Kevin Davies who says his kids are Bolton fans now.

gave him a bit of a boo cos he played for wednesday didn't know he was a united fan though

I have never understood this personal abuse that is aimed at people just because they have played for your rivals!!... FFS they are just doing a job and shouldn't receive it...

I've seen grown men (and women!!) sat with children literally on the verge of bursting a blood vessel screaming at opposing/ex S6 players..
I hear more abuse at opposing players than support for our team sometimes..

If theyve criticised our club in public fair enough..

So Gary Madine is fair fuckin game.

But fuckin ell, the majority of it...

I dare say that would probably have been his Swansong as a player. He must be knocking 40

Would be weird way to finish, he got to see his boyhood team lift the title trophy, on the other hand the team he actually play for had been relegated!

You can't expect everyone to know that he's a Blade, but it's unfortunate that a guy like Humphreys, who would have loved to have played for United, gets booed every time he turns up, but someone like Kevin Davies gets a warm welcome (usually) when he swore he'd never play for us!

You were a child around 97? At what age did you become an adult?;)

I was a bit surprised Humphrys got booed when he came on yesterday. He's a blade after all.

He spoke very well about United and Wilder on particular on Radio Sheffield after the match and mentioned he'd still got his shirt which he got when he was a kid supporting the Blades.

Anyway, let's boo people that deserve booing in future!

He's a clever bloke who's sorted life beyond playing out well, he was on that English football committee looking at how to improve youth football and always talked sense on there. He's done coaching badges and kept well in at Chesterfield through a succession of managers. By all accounts a good bloke and a Blade, not really the type to be booed apart from a few seasons as a podgy porker but he's repented and knows where his allegiances lie again now.

Honestly didn't know who he was, my father next me said he was a ex wednesday play and he was dreading him scoring against us, 30 seconds later he nearly did ha.
He's a blade so he is sound in my book, just doing his job as a footballer.

Yes he is a Blade
However it didn't stop him slagging United when he was playing for them

I thought he played well when he came on and the booing was all a bit panto villain type stuff .
He looked a bit Sunday league
