There's been a lot of discussion on these boards recently comparing our current start to this season to the one we enjoyed in 1971. One of those games in 1971 was a 2-2 draw with Spurs.

The bloke scored in a World Cup final FFS! Even though he was well past his sellby date at the Lane he deserved much more than a couple of words at HT.

I didn't hear the half time mention at the Watford game. Agree piss poor that there was no minutes silence at the start. He may have been a shite manager for us but he wore the red and white stripes in the twilight of his career. He was the only player we could ever say was an England World Cup winner that represented us.

The Club should put this right on Friday against the team he played for whilst winning the World Cup and organise a fitting tribute at the start of the game so both sets of fans can show their appreciation.
