What if we get relegated and he wants paying £25k a week? It's stupid to let a player go who we can easily afford, but if we do go down there will be 44 clubs in a stronger position to negotiate than us.

According to the BBC he signed a 3 year deal in 2009 taking him up to the end of 2012.

If that's the case and we do go down, i can't see him a) wanting to come or b) us being able to afford a fee for him.

I seem to remember him saying he was keen to earn a full time contract here, but it's not likely if we get relegated. So we won't be signing him then... :cry:

I have been told he is on something liker £12k at Fulham. Maybe he would shave a few grand if we save up. It is his injury record that worries me but luckily we might check that out as we don't have Blackwell anymore to sign more crocks

The OP was purely stating we should offer him a contract, not that we should break the bank to sign him.
