SHEFFIELD United manager Kevin Blackwell has identified a new right-back as his priority in the transfer market.

The sale of Leigh Bromby to Watford last month means Derek Geary is the only natural right-back in the first team squad and Blackwell is concerned about the Blades' lack of cover.

"We have got a decent squad, the only thing that could affect us will be injuries," said Blackwell. "We are a little light at right-back, we have only got 'Del Boy' and, at a push, Keith Gillespie, so I will be looking at that position. It will be a loan if and when we need to."

Suprised the world renowned international superstar, friend to all media people didnt spot that one when he eagerly let Bromby go!

The genius of Robson's sales is showing through!!!!!!
I know Carney can play Right back in an emergency, but we do need a proper utility defender as cover.

Problem is its says since we sold Bromby, but Bromby was never a natural right back, so the problems been there since Bardsley left!

Thats true I actually thought we let Bromby go coz we were gonna sign someone else.

Good to see that Blackwell has spotted the fact we actually do need another right back.

Rob Kozluk anyone? :)
