Great move for him. Quality signing for Huddersfield. Highly experienced and has a great attitude. Will be great for them and to sure them up at the back.

Despite his fantastic performances on the pitch, this is my favourite moment from a cracking player

We need that as a statue in the carpark

Thank you Richard Stearman!

RS was what we needed at the time. Solid defender coming towards the end of his career...took piss-artistry to new heights, showed that there is such a thing as an entertaining drunk and worth every pint during our end of season promotion celebrations.

Hope he has a successful future whatever he decides to do.

Did a cracking job for us particularly first season back in the championship and popped up with a couple of crucial goals too, all the best to him

Has proved a great signing, the top professional needed to replace Jake Wright.

He'll remember these lads for getting him drunk for the first time.

Good luck Richard Stearman, played a part in the band of brothers that got us to the Premier League.

You could never bet against him scoring a set piece goal, just when we needed it.

Knew how to continue drinking, when realistically, he should have stopped two hours previously.

Genuinely loved by Blades fans and always welcome back here.

Best wishes pal.

Been a steady reliable CH for us , I like Stears and played his part in our revival and very important goal vs Boro for us .. wish the lad all the best been a good pro & integral part of our squad ...GLTTL ⚔️

Stearmam left Wolves with his head held high
and now he leaves Sheff United with his head held high.....very popular player at both clubs.

I’d say he’s average Championship standard ability wise....he didn’t play much for us last season but when he did play he always looked good.
However Stears biggest quality is his character....he’s a model pro, always works hard and he 100% supports the team no matter if he’s playing or not.
He’ll be a great addition to any dressing room, very experienced and will help create a positive vibe and be a role model to younger players.

Seemingly every player that leaves United is universally thought of in high regard by teammates and fans alike. It's testament to the type of character that Wilder brings into the club - no big time Charlies, no prima Donnas, just well-respected pros who give their all every time they're called upon.
