Canon. His lists are notoriously short according to PAAny idea who is on the list?
If Kone isn’t on his list, but Cannon at 13M is.. I think his list needs using to pick up dog shit, then throwing in the bin. Smacks of “I want this and nothing else” ala brewdog.Canon. His lists are notoriously short according to PA
Kone does though.
Kone, Kone, Kone, Kone, Kone n Keiffer Mooooooree,

Got my fourth day photo ready. It’s KONECOMING TIME.Danetheblade would be happy
if his goals were in his dreeeeeeems
We’re in his dreeeeeems
Day four… seems he’s rushed up to shirecliffe as he’s still in his Wycombe kit… I think he’s impressed with the desso!

Think he’s just happy he’s got a choice of pitches to train on.. and that Wilders finally seen sense and got him inDoing Angel of the north pose... gone to Sunderland.
I’m with you on this one but don’t think “the process” Wilder talks about allows for a punt on a L1 player if he’s not on the list. Had we been low to mid table maybe but it’s that difficult balancing act getting the team prepared for PL should we get promoted.Day four… seems he’s rushed up to shirecliffe as he’s still in his Wycombe kit… I think he’s impressed with the desso!

He took a punt on Burrows from league one. Why? Cause he had really good statistics, Kone is no different.I’m with you on this one but don’t think “the process” Wilder talks about allows for a punt on a L1 player if he’s not on the list. We need to get attention. Let’s take it in turns standing naked at Shirecliffe gates with a “Get Kone” placard, I’m busy so you do first shift today.

I’ve got a sales meeting down EMA Hilton, so I’ll be struggling to do the afternoon. Will leave the sign by the bush.
Strikers are a rare commodity, especially ones that are this effective in a short time.Kone literally has had one good half of a season. Burrows had proved himself over a longer period. I also don’t see other teams looking at Kone as an option.

Funny how three of the top Championship clubs are willing to pay 13 million for him but you know betterIf Kone isn’t on his list, but Cannon at 13M is.. I think his list needs using to pick up dog shit, then throwing in the bin. Smacks of “I want this and nothing else” ala brewdog.

It's a lower quality league, but the benefit of Kone is he does a bit of everything. He can dribble, create his own chances, he's good in the air and he's great at defending his own box. Cannon on the other hand is just an in-the-box finisher. I think he'll go invisible far too often in a team like ours that doesn't create a huge number of chances (as he has for Stoke).Kone's stats are impressive.
However I think it's being overlooked that those stats are against League 1 defenders.
Kone has played 25 league games this season and has scored in 9 of those.
Teams that Kone has failed to score against this season in the league:
Birmingham
Rotherham
Blackpool
Cambridge Utd
Bristol Rovers
Crawley
Burton Albion
Leyton Orient
Wigan
Mansfield
Exeter x2
Reading
Shrewsbury
Bolton
Huddersfield
League 1 is a mile off championship level these days.
For example Lee Gregory has a better minute per goal ratio than Kone this season in league 1.
He's out of contract in the summer.
If he carries on having a good season (he's not having a ridiculous season), then look at him in the summer when no transfer fee would be involved.
Its irrelevant what he's capable of in the division below if he can't do it in this one. It's a lower quality league, but the benefit of Kone is he does a bit of everything. 6 non-penalty goals in 22 starts though and very little in-game contribution. £5m, fair enough. £10+? Nah.Its irrelevant what he's capable of in the division below if he can't do it in this one.
Moan about Cannon all you want, but he's scoring in the division he needs to.
Well for £5m we don't get him.6 non-penalty goals in 22 starts though and very little in-game contribution. £5m, fair enough. £10+? Nah.
Sure, but it's a wide market and we can be looking wider than Stoke if we have £10m+ to spendWell for £5m we don't get him.
Then we end up with a injured Campbell, a goal shy Moore and a Rhian Brewster.
Harry Kane was once on loan at Leyton Orient. Why does distance matter?Sure, but it's a wide market and we can be looking wider than Stoke if we have £10m+ to spend
It doesn't, I'm saying the choices aren't "buy an average championship player for 8 figures or play Rhian Brewster". We can look at other options.Harry Kane was once on loan at Leyton Orient. Why does distance matter?
14, currently managing United in the champs league, England and Doncaster rovers.. mulling over an offer from Genoa though. How many promotions you got?![]()
Genoa? I’d go for it, if only for the weather. They’re impressive managerial stats, whilst also holding down a full time job.14, currently managing United in the champs league, England and Doncaster rovers.. mulling over an offer from Genoa though.
